You will not need anything different….
tpbmxtdMemberGot it……
tpbmxtdMembertpbmxtdMemberWe will have a riders meeting after the championship race. We will be giving out the year end awards at the championship race then we will hold a meeting were everyone is welcome to attend. We will be looking for the riders input into what they liked/disliked from this year and what they would like for next year. We have said from the beginning that this series was put together for the 16 & over group to keep them involved and allow the younger riders/parents to see some good racing.

Is this an open meeting for anyone…or it for the usual select few?
You are more than welcome to attend the meeting for the Pro/Am series. As with all the meetings that we have had for the series, they have been announced at the track and have been out in the open were everyone could attend. If you would like to attend be our guest, we will be more than happy to hear your suggestions. If you would like to just talk to either Rich or myself please feel free to come up to us at the championship race, I am usually somewhere around the track (most people can point me out) and as for Rich he is the guy with the big “Farside” on the back of his jersey. We will be looking forward to meeting you.
Looking forward to a bigger and better 2008 Hyper Pro/Am series.

Jim,
We had all the rules posted on the newjerseybmx site all year. We also held a meeting at the first race at EHT and explained the rules.Rules Of Competition
All competition rules set forth by the National Bicycle League, and outlined in the 2007 Rules of
Competition Rulebook, will be in effect and enforced during all events within the 2007 Hyper Pro/Am
Open Series.
Open Wheels classes are a combination of age, proficiency levels and cruiser bicycles (either 20″, 24″ or 26″ bicycles may be ridden in Open Wheels classes).
All amateurs MUST register and race their respective class at all events.
All participants must race a minimum of 5 qualifying open events and the championship event within the Hyper Pro/Am Series to be eligible for the end of year awards. You will not be the only spoiler out there at the championship race…. —
We will have a post later in the week with some news on the Pro/Am.

tpbmxtdMemberAny updates on the new website????
tpbmxtdMemberWe will make sure that the new name is put on the release that we will do before the championship race and will try to have it announced. Nothing we can do with the poster, but you probally figured that out.
Hope the change is a good one, we will see everyone at the championship race.
tpbmxtdMemberWas able to get a photo from Tim’s party last night….
tpbmxtdMemberIn my opinion I think that they stopped doing them at the National level because they were not getting the big turn outs that they used to. Most of the guys did not want to race the huge 17-24 expert class and then race open. If I remember right (not positive, Jeremy only raced a few opens at the Nationals) but I think the payout was a set price and with the lack of riders they (NBL) were paying out more than they were bringing in. Now before we all go on this rant about the NBL and money, its no different than Coke coming out with the new formula Coke and when it tanked they pulled the plug on it. Any business that starts losing money on a product will stop selling that product.
They are going to payout at the Christmas race and the Grands because those two races always pull big rider counts.
There was nothing that I read that you still can’t run Money Opens at the local level, but I will find out for sure. So, for now, the Hyper Pro/Am is still good to go for the last race and for next season.
