Kevin,
Can you get a one day trial if you had a ABA license before?tpbmxtdMemberAlmost forgot…….check New Jersey BMX for all the videos and pictures from the Hyper Pro/Am series.
tpbmxtdMemberWill Cruisers be able to participate in this event. I know that it is an ABA rule that cruisers are NOT allowed in the “Money Opens”. Is this going to be the case for this race as well?
❓

but then again the purpose of the whole thing is to get more riders to local tracks right so how does decreasing the # locals help that situation?
Wouldn’t that be the responsibility of the tracks to get local riders to show up….
Most of the riders who have qualified for the championship race have more that 10 races anyway. If you make it more reasonable for people, you may find more people coming to the state championship race.
I am not saying that this is the cure all, but maybe it will be something worth looking into.

is the entire race going to use random or just the pro/am

tpbmxtdMemberWhy not make a survey up and hand it out at the championship race and each track can hand them out the next couple of weeks and get the parents/riders input on what things they would like to see changed or added.
Take the ideas and see what things would help make the state series big again. I am not saying that you need to use everyones ideas, but someone may have a great idea that could help.
Open up the communications between the parents/riders and the state board.
tpbmxtdMemberJust some of my thoughts –
Lower the amount of locals that people have to do – alot of families now a days either cant afford to do them or they are involved with other sports/activities.
Make the State Qualifiers an event – pump up the state races, make them something people want to go to.
Make the Championship race worth more than the qualifiers – go with triple points for the final race, make it more of a race at the end. Look at the qualified list and see the difference in the points, most of the riders in first have such a lead that they just have to show up and they win.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, it’s NOT random.
The gate still drops at the same time it always did DURING the cadence. It’s a “random cadence start” gate.
sorry…
I got a little emotional.
Alright….if you want to get technical, its actually a “random pause between cadence and horns” gate 🙄

does anyone know if the state will be using a random gate at flemington for the state championship? does flemington have the random gate yet?
do local tracks have to get it by a certain time or does the nbl allow them to make the decision whether or not to use it at all?
anyone know?
Do not know if the State will use the new random gate system for the Championship race, but we will be using it for the Hyper Pro/Am like we did at EHT. I would hope that they would use it for the Championship race. I am bringing our box to use for the Pro/Am, so if they want to use it for the rest of the race it will be there if they do not have it yet at Flemington.
As far as I know the NBL has not made it mandatory for the tracks to use the new random gate system. Most tracks are doing it to help the riders get use to the system that they use at the National/Regional events.

maybe the state site would be the normal place to look??
You would think, but next year will be different…..
