January 9, 2008 at 5:37 pm in reply to: Since the position of state points keeper – clerk has been #55195tpbmxtdMemberCathy’s resume had been sent to the State Commissioner a couple of days after the Banquet/Meeting.
We have talked about this for sometime after the State Clerk resigned and Cathy decided to give it a try.
We will see what happens.

Not that it makes any huge difference but I was thinking I might like to come back and announce some of the races this year. I enjoyed announcing at Pottstown very much and my last day at Flemington was fun too.
We would love to have you back announcing, even if it was just for a couple of races.
We will be in touch with you Dave in the near future.
tpbmxtdMemberGood idea’s…..
Dave…we will talk with you about this more in the coming weeks. Sounds like a good idea.
Rich and I will have some announcements on the pro/am series in the next couple of weeks.
Keep the ideas coming and look for the announcements coming soon.

Full factory rider=
100% paid entry fees
travel to all major races and lodging
free bike, uniform, apparel, parts
contingency money for getting coverage (magazines, major internet sites, etc.)Older riders should also be getting a monthly stipend to offset the expense of traveling, training, i.e.: food, gym membership, etc.
This should also apply to co-sponsors.
If you paid for any part of your deal you are at best a co-factory rider, at worst it’s a buy in deal.
Reality.
That is the way it used to be BITD. It is hard to find that kind of deal anymore. Most of the “Factory” deals are a uniform, bike, discount on parts and race fees. If you can get that in this day and age, I would say that you are a “Factory” rider.
Don’t get me wrong, there are the few exceptions to that rule.
tpbmxtdMemberI would say put links all over the front page with a bunch of 1980’s graphics and put on the NBL cadence that takes forever to load and don’t forget the pictures from 10 years ago and last but not least, never update the site…..ohh crap thats what we have now 😯
tpbmxtdMemberMaybe we can even get someone to bring replacement batteries with them also……right Anthony —
tpbmxtdMemberYou deserved it……Congratulations.
tpbmxtdMemberThe Bob Warnicke memorial award was also giving out today to none other than Brett himself.
The award was for the person who promoted the sport of BMX the most this season.
tpbmxtdMemberI want to see Ant-dog and Farside. We can have some catchy name like….the gimp vs. the pimp.
tpbmxtdMemberHere is a warm up race for you Ant-dog…….You against Farside tomorrow.
Farside has a bum muscle so he would be basically pedaling with one leg.
Maybe we can gather up some money tomorrow to put in to have you to race.
It will give you an idea of how much you will need to train for the show down between you and Dave.
Are you interested…….come on, lets see if you have what it takes.

so if you turn pro in the nbl do you HAVE to take the pro section? does anyone know for sure?? i know at the grands last yr dan and i were discussing this and he was under the impression it was mandatory at nationals…
For the most part in the NBL you are required to take the pro section if you are a pro. The only time this might change is for safety reasons, like wind – soft ground – etc.. In my opinion if you think you are good enough to turn pro then you should be able to jump a pro section.
I think what Phil did was to man up and take the pro section like a Pro should. Good Job Phil.
