Years ago the there were only a few buildings there. Now, every year more and more gets built up around it. They are closing in. If you think about it the track doesn’t really fit in there (in thier eyes). Also the reason for overnight camping not being aloud is years ago when they had the national at hc, there was some vandalism that took place. From what i understand the landlord flipped out and declared that there was to be no overnight camping anymore.

me danny gary and matt busted our ass working on that track to get it better for the state race. unfortunatly we didn’t get to do all the things we wanted to do because of the rain. we were out there in the pouring rain today trying to form jumps with no machine. but we know it has to be done. we have things that we are going to do to the track that will make it a lot better, but we don’t want to start it before the state race, and not be able to finish it. everyone complains about the track, but when we organmize a work day nobody shows up. and matt does treat his volenteers well. he always buys food and drink for the people that help out. so it basically come down to this. If you don’t like the way a track is, you show up to a work party and help out. we are more than open to people’s opinions, as long as they are willing to help make those changes.

i am all for clips, but somthing needs to be done about these little kids using them. They can’t even balance yet, and they are clipped in. thats not right. they need to learn all the basics first.
PS: i would never use clips while dirt jumping or at the park, but as far as racing goes, i’ll always use them. not because i have to, but because i want to. i can ride almost as fast without them, but that extra edge means a lot.

haha i really don’t care one way or another about this topic, aside from the age and proficiency level ban, i just like pouring gas on a fire and watching what happenes.

PS: I also use clips, for a small part, due to my fear of injury to a certain section. so it goes both ways.

It is not an unfair advantage. Nobody is making anyone use flats or clips, but is is an advantage none the less. also, motocross is a bad example, you could never be clipped in when doing that, while in bmx it’s better to be clipped in..

I guss i’m the only opposition to this. I started using clips when i turned expert about 8 years ago. i immediatly noticed abig difference in my gate and first straight. they do help out. Also, i remember how many people used to slip pedals and smash a certain place pretty hard. You don’t see as much of that anymore. To the contrary though i do not think that a rider should be able to ride clips until they are at least a novice. They first need to learn the important bike skills before their feet are locked into a bike. Nothing pisses me off more than seeing a 5 year old kid clipped in on the gate that falls over because he doesn’t know how to balance. [/b]
