i’ll bring this post back to life– i watched rad like twice a day back when i was a kid– i’d watch rad, then ride to the dust bowl and hang out with lenny, and pogi. and fshum is right– it was “supercross” or “grind”– just twenty years earlier—

i have stayed up with my training– but without much orginization as you might tell by my last post– but i have talked to Rich Carolin (sp)a couple of times and he has helped my try to figure some things out as far as setting up an “actual” program. so as of today i have finished my second week of orginized 07 training. looking fowrward to staying on pace and being a friggin rocket ship next season.

i’m in for greg coming again, me and rich farside had talked about this a couple of times before he got hurt, and i think it’s a good idea. and i will be getting in touch with rich farside pretty soon about hitting the track here and there since we live fairlly close to each other.

i would like to thank greg for coming out, farside for getting him to come , and Rich Carolin for helping give me some dirrection.

good luck to everyone next season— i know it’s far off, but i can’t wait till the jack frost race!!!!

actually the # of required races has gone down for the state series— a few years ago it was 4 qualifiers (one for each track–mullica was still around) and i think it was ten locals–

they had the semis and the mains in the middle of freestyle motocross. pretty good idea i think, this way it may reach some people that are not already into bmx ya know?

how many tracks have pro sections now?– i don’t venture too far from jerseyl, someone that hits more nats might have a better idea. — i would think that this would be an easy answer to the problem–

for a small prctice track– like 3 straights or so — about 3 acres will hold the track and plenty of parking— you could probably get away w/ lees if you skimp on the parking– i’d bet like 1.5 acres– i sit on 1.5 and if you took my house off you could easilly have three straights and decent parking–

the key is to attatch ourselves to an already existing skatepark, that has parking and a little land to spare–

there is one here in sewell– i’ll stop by and run it past them this weekend

is it really steppin on toes if everyone is out for the same thing– the growth of the sport– ??? everyone has to be on the same page– then it willl be a nonexistent phrase

with more tracks taht run at the same time — the local scene/state series would be much better in theory— lets look at the two scenarios

    now–3 tracks–

” i race tommy brown (if this is actually someones name i am sorry) tommorow for the state championship. that’s cool because i beat him every tuesday, saturday, and sunday at eht, cj, and hc. same old race i just pay more to go. pass me some pie please”

    soon-5-6 tracks evenlly spread–

” state race is tomorow, looks like it’s me and some kid tommy brown in the lead for the year end title. i’ve never raced him before caus ehe’s from up north, must be pretty fast though. pass me an apple please”

with more tracks you will not only attract more riders but the state series will actually be more like a small regional or national. ya know–

you think the racers from nor cal see all the same guys from southern cal. every weekend— no– and that’s part of the reason that thier state series is so big

    more later– i’m spent

all the work that went into the tracks this year must have cost something– as well as mantaining them– lets take that into account as well. you may think maintanance is nothing– but with gas being $3 a gallon, those mowers, wackers and blowers don’t run on corn oil.

a couple of years ago the ABA was handing out free race flyers and doing some promoting at supercross races— i thought it was a good idea but they never seemed to follow through– had they set up a pro only small series to go along with the supercross series, to be run right before the big supercross mains– they could have really caught some attention—guys that were there with thier kids that couldn’t afford dirtbikes would jump all over it— and there is more than a substantial amount of outside sponsorship in supercross–

i know, the pros are busy cahsing the national titles— ok — throw some big dollars into the mix— i bet the pros need money more than they need a #8 plate next season

this could be done at ATCO— they have some extra space– just a thaught
