baby steps— after it grows into it’s own monster — then we could have a pro only series— but at this point excluding top experts would be like coffe w/ no sugar, good , but missing a key element

    16 over x and pros.
    fun.
    state series only.

the state series already has an open. what are we doing different then? honestly, why bother going through all the trouble getting peolple to run and organize something that is already built in.

ask the local pro’s when is good for them? after the national schedules are out, i bet we could figure out some local weekends that a majority of the local pros won’t be traveling. if not, thier loss, not ours– remember, we are talking like 5-6 races, with three of them most likelly being at state races, leaving us with three weekends to figure out.

this can work– really– the last year mullica was open, they ran four friday night races that had pro/am opens– the first one brought 8 racres, by the last one we had a main. with no promotion at all, just word of mouth. with a little promotion, this could be something great.

oh– janeen talked about having an open series last season at egg harbor but it never came about. give her a break, she does alot for njbmx and asks for nothing back. who really gives a shit who thaught of the idea or who is putting it together and why.

brett–altruism– thanks for making me pick up a book and learn something new– keep your $10 words to yourself. speak on a third grade level so we can all understand !

ok– i may be a little late on this — but here it goes

and i may piss most of you off– but here it goes

if no one else will stick up for “them”– i will– i may not know who “they ” are– but i have a pretty good idea– context clues, baby, context clues.

#1– “they” are not here to defend themselves. if you have problems w/ them and the things they do — confront them face to face. if they don’t listen keep trying. coming on here and starting a negative post will only distance them more if they truelly are lurking around. and although you never really said who they were, it’s sooooo transparent

#2– consider this, you say that they have been around so long, and it’s time they open up to new ideas, blah blah blah….. do you honestly think that we are the first people that had new ideas? my guess is no, but i’m also willing to say that they have seen more people with great ideas come and go, than you have pairs of underwear. and i’m sure that after being let down over and over by people that make promises and have great ideas, but soon just fade away, after a while they start to shut people out. wouldn’t anyone else?

#3– although it may not apear so, they love the sport somewhere deep inside— other wise they wouldn’t be doing it. plain and simple– i don’t think that anyone is retiring from runing a local track– not in this day and age– your heads are in the clouds

i know that everyone here wants to see things get better. but it takes time, and yes, some people are harder to reach than others, but that doesn’t mean that they should be drug to the center of town and publiclly stoned. vauge shit talking isn’t the answer

i know that this morning, at about 7:30am, i gave directions to the track to some racers from Mass. this was thier first trip down to egg harbor, i told them what a great time they were gonna have, them seemed pretty stoked.

then i hit the track at about 2pm during my lunch– the track was nice and smooth. just a couple of spots that were a little “less than perfect” due to the heavy rain earlier this week. but everything was in great shape. had i know that work was gonna go down i would have skipped lunch and bailed on work early to help.

good luck to everyone tomorow, keep the rubber side down and have fun

i have a set of rollers and i love them— no resistance on minie although there are one’s with resistance available–if i want added resistance i just put on an old set of comp III’s.

i haven’t been using them much latelly and have been thinki8ng back to wht has worked best for me in the past training wise and the season that i used the rollers was at the top of the list

i actually just talked to chris on the phone– and like he said— with all the repairs– that pushes building plans back–

in fact– he said that the track was hit again last night– so in addition to the tower being broken they destroyed most of the fencing and threw the bleachers out onto the track–

BUT– he did say that the football trailer was broken into as well– in a strange way this is good, because the twp will see it as random and not the track being targeted, and hopes for the survival of the tyrack are better that way

led– plateus are easily over come(kinda)– your just in a rut– take a couple of weeks off– change your training a bit– you need to suprise your body– it sounds silly, but your body remembers what’s going on– if you do the same workout week in and week out– when you hop on that bike and do your warm up, your body kinda says “ok looks like it’s time for 25 sprints followed by some ab work and a protien shake”– you need to shok your body– you can find more in depth advise for overcoming flat spots in any body building rag– they deal with it constantlly.

remember– you only loose if you don’t try

and going by your finishes– you had consistent improvement–

    patience darling, patience…

i get smoked every race– but somewhere deep inside i know that sooner or later it’s all gonna fall into place. everything will click and $hit is gonna hit the fan in my class when it does!!!!!

    keep your chin up

he was on flats at the clinic– he’s the man– really–super skilled, down to earth, want’s to help– he’s awesome.

as far as him being only at woodward– i’m with craig– me getting away for a week most likely wouldn’t happen– so for purelly selfish reasons i would rather see him keep doing traveling clinics–BUT– i am not the future of the sport– kids are– and they can get away for a week, or weeks on end for that matter. and if thier parents have half a brain, they will send them. i really hope that it works out well for him, it could be huge.
