Bill, Thank you. If the tracks are going to get bigger, harder, and faster then only experts and pros should be on them.
rider1MemberEvery bmxer should race track. Iam not saying quit bmx,but it is a cool way to cross train, and work on sprints.
rider1MemberNo big deal for Floyd. How about Cadel Eveans? Looking good. My picks; Palol, Georage, and Simmoni for the top three. I wish I had the fitness to ride at half their speed! Hard core much.
rider1MemberPaolo Savoldelli will win it. Good team, good support. And a former Giro winner.
rider1MemberFor the record nobody said screw novices. I think the idea was make the nationals legit, only the top riders. Also, nobody said former riders or parents should make all the rules. What both the NBL and the ABA need are people with specific expertice. In the case of the NBL, a marketing profesional, and a computer/ web master.
rider1MemberOne thought could be to run a seperate series for novices. Mabey Friday night. That would keep the money comming in. Then the rest of the weekend cuuld be the national. That kind of format could attract some corprate money. Not to mention the national would not take twelve hours to run. Making the whole thing better for the riders and parents. Plus it could be TV friendly.Make the event attractive for sponsors, make it legit. Think how big the nationals could be with a 5 to 10 million dollar budget. HUGE!!!
rider1MemberGood call guys. You are both right. Here is the main prolbem, nationals today are just big local races, nothing more. I know because after racing 500 of them it was all the same. One weekend was no different than the last. Pros got no respect, and any beginner could race it. National races should only be for pros and experts. Thats it. (and expert girls). This would make it legit. As it stands a beginner can get a national number. What is that? That does not showcase the nations best, it just provides a larger income stream for the saction. This is not to say that beginners are not important, but the national level should be for the nations best. Just like in any other area of cycling. You have to work your way up. I wish I had all the answers, but as it stands this is the way it is.
rider1MemberThe NBL computer is older than me. They dont have the system to make updates that fast.
rider1MemberOk,leg shaving 101. Get a pair of hair clippers. Run them up and down both legs. Second, get shaving cream and razor, repeat. Then get some lotion and rub it in. Repeat every few days.

rider1MemberHey guys, dont forget to do some recoevery rides durning the week. The way to do them is 30 minutes at a steady pace like 50 to 60 rpm. These are really imporant! Keep up the good work!!!!
Richie Rich…………
rider1MemberCraig, this is 2006, not 1982. Gone are the days of one jump per straight. That video was the greatest thing I have seen in a while. Ride much, skill much, that is how its done.
rider1MemberFor the record I am not big on clips. Yes I use them, however, It is hard to win without them. In the case of Terry, who I know very well, he could win on anything. He was NBL champ like five times. Mabey if we all got together clips could be banned for good. I know it would make racing a whole lot better. If nothing elese it would make things a whole lot safer.
rider1MemberWho?
