We used to race back then. I used to race against Lynch, Sherman (still have one of his stickers on an old ecko helmet), Kelmecki, Gokey and the rest of the crew. I always came up from Delaware and raced for Wooden Wheels.

Sorry, I don’t have time to sit there and pick over every question in your post. I have to work and took a quick break to shoot out a responce to one question from the top of my head.
I’m not sure why you are blasting me. I did what I could in the answer with the time I have and I also like talking to you at the track.
We ran a NBL track here in the 80s. I’ve seen the rise and fall.
Why do we only see 8 motos? No school involvement. No future to the sport. High cash outlay for equipment and entries vs return (plastic trophies and no future).
So in turn we have 8 motos of people who love riding their bikes. They are not looking to get rich from it and they are having a good time.
If kids had to pay $45 every time they had a football game in highschool, $10 each practice, buy their own equipment and the pro football players were only paid 30K a year how big do you think football would be as a sport?
When you look at it that way there is no doubt why bmx is in the state it is.
Tim, not sure on the closing date. I have been traveling for work. They usually run until the ABA cutoff (dec 15th?)
Neither track gets more than 15 motos on any given race. LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN>>> 15 MOTOS. Usually it is more like 8. Do the local riders come from Severn? Bensalem, Cedar ? how about from 1st State? NO. Blue diamond even tried to change when they race. It did not help.

Blue Diamond has more out of the area riders during locals than in the area.State races were more than 15 motos. As was the race for life.
My neighbor had it out with the guys who live in back of his property. They were picking off deer and dropping them on the corner of his property to rot. His dogs have been digging in them and then bringing back into the house.
I put one down Monday and got it back last night from the butchers. I’ll feed some to the two cats to see if we get exploding furballs. 😆
Where would Blue Diamond pull any rider count from going NBL? Other than about 5 riders in the area that do both sanctions there are NO NBL racers here. 1st state is a quick drive from Blue Diamond and is ABA. Severn is also ABA and across the bay bridge. No NBL in the area.

Nah, if I can’t go to the NBL Grands because of other commitments it makes the NBL national schedule moot. I might hit the close races for the comp.
It is a good thing. My 8 year anniversary is Tuesday. We have been together 11 years on Sunday. We do have to work on the BMX support though. 😆
