Hey Bill, had to fix that for you:
1 bicycle+6-pack of beer=instant A Pro
😆
LeadSled1MemberI hope everything works out for you Kevin and that we see you back on the track. That way you can show these guys how to jump a double. 😉
LeadSled1MemberI still have my old Haro plate with a crack in the middle where a pedal went through it during a main. Are you sure it was that new? I busted this one in 88.
LeadSled1MemberPhill D, taking it upstairs on the triple.
LeadSled1MemberI think you guys need to work on multi line jumps if the beginners are having that much of a problem with it.
Out of our second corner we have a triple. The first two bumps are perfect doubles and the third bump is down about 16″ lower than the other two. You can double the first two and roll the third, or roll the first and double the second two. If you have brassies like Phil you can triple the whole thing or if you are new you can roll the whole thing.
LeadSled1MemberI voted to change it. Make the kids happy, as long as the jump is still a jump and not a dirt mound in the middle of the track. 😉
How about a poll, gravel tracks or dirt tracks? Now that one will get some posts! 😯
LeadSled1MemberTidey, good first post. 😉
LeadSled1MemberIt disrupts the flow
=
😆
Just hit me as funny.
LeadSled1MemberBrett, if you are talking about the first link that it is me in the gray sweatshirt (in both). It looks like I am rolling them but I am actually jumping low and dropping the back tire. In the second clip I aired it out a little more ( and case the 3rd tripple pretty good with the front). The jump is actually pretty steep and easy to over clear. We were looking at making it longer before the the first race this year. It is about 17 feet. I think the second one is 22 feet and the third is about 15 feet.
LeadSled1MemberWhen I get moved into the new house I’ll have to scan all the photos. I have some Clymer ones as well from the 89 NBL Grands and Woodward.
LeadSled1MemberThat looks a lot like our first double out of the first corner. Do they really have that much problems with it? Our second double is quite a bit bigger.
Here is some video of the track:

LeadSled1MemberSouth Park was fricken nutz last year. I rode it during the Hyper clinic but didn’t race because the shoulder was still busted. I jumped everything but the pro jump and I was really not interested in racing that track with 7 other meatheads going ballz out, especially with the shoulder the way it was.
If my 6 year old (5 at the time) can get air on that track you know the lips were big.
One thing I noticed at EHT was the lips they added in the second straight. While not over the top there is too much on the first double. You land in the flat everytime due to the speed out of the corner and the size of the lip on it. My son almost cleared it in his 3rd moto. He put his front tire into the second peak and almost went over the bars.
We had some new people show up at Blue Diamond yesterday when we were rebuilding the track. They were real hesitant (especially the parents) about the jumps on the track. We had to explain to them that you do not jump everything. They are obsticals, and only jumps if you jump them.
I’m sure the size of the jumps spooked them also as we had not rolled them yet 😆 .
Rich, my wife sent Jud a case of those things and from what I hear he has used them all. 😉
LeadSled1MemberUse one of these neat saftey devices. If you come up short just pull the string. 😆
Just messing with you guys. 😉
LeadSled1MemberHow about this one, get Hyper to bring 8 moto bikes to the track each race. Have a “bring a friend to race” moto where kids that race can bring a friend who doesn’t race and they get to use the motobike for they day. Limit each kid to three races on the motobike and they can not have held a license before.
This way they are all on the same prepped bike, no modifications allowed.
You might be able to get Hyper to bring out 2 or 3 of the small versions of the motobikes for the little guys too.
Good advertising for them and the track.
LeadSled1MemberSo how about if they become a coupon for registration, travel and parts? Instead of them being able to be accepted for anything limit them to “sports associated” items?
