I think some of the best parts of it was the simplicity he used. Definately a K.I.S.S. program. The pump laps are great. If you think about it you are manualling into the face of the jump, as you lift your front end first in a bunny hop (pull manualling). When you bunny hop down the back side of the jump this is just like exiting a pull manual. In order to fully pull manual the same jump all you have to do is bridge the two bunny hops by pushing the back wheel down and keep the front tire up.
Greg is a straight shooter and has some great stories. I liked just sitting back and listening.
I have yet to win a national since coming back last season. I have an ass load of second places. I want to see if this will get me past that road/mental block. I want to win, I do not need to.
Rich, thanks for getting this set up. We need to keep on this training as the next month is going to fly by.

LeadSled1MemberIt’s a kegger! 😆
It is acutally very light. Thin walled. I have two XLs on the way also. One NOS and the other lightly used.
LeadSled1Member😆 Common Bill, that took all of 5 minutes. Gotta think on your feet and not only when you are vertical. 😯 😆 Comedy Central here!
LeadSled1MemberPartially built, never ridden. JD is begging me to let him have it to race on.
LeadSled1MemberJust a little rag on my self:
Spud Light Presents Real Men of Genius
(Real Men of Genius)
Today we salute you Mr. BMX Gate Flipper.
(Mr. BMX Gate Flipper)
That 400 pound steel gate doesn’t scare you. You just try to snap right through it.
(Front flip.)
Trying to beat everyone on the snap, you eat dirt.
(Where’s Farside?)
With the skill of a gymnast you perfect the helmet landing.
(Crackle snap!)
You jump right up and show that you are ok, yet you know that smarts like hell.
(Son of a bitch!)
So crack open an ice cold Spud Lite Sir I’m-too-worried-about-the-guy-in-the-gate-next-to-me, because you have skills no one would claim.
(Mr. BMX Gate Flipper)
LeadSled1MemberDidn’t want to dissapoint you. 😆

(Mr. RV crasher into’er)
Most people will go around in animate objects except for you. You take it head on.
(Where’s my helmet?)
A detour through the parking lot? You blaze your own path to glory.
(Out of my way!)
One might think you are part Billy Goat as you lower your head for impact.
(Get some!)
5 tons of steel and aluminum have nothing on you as you bounce like a superball.
(Oh my spleen.)
So crack open an ice cold Spud Light Sir I-can’t-keep-it-on-the-track, because you have style that is all your own.
(Mr. RV crasher into’er)
😛
LeadSled1MemberThey might want to keep that picture for the insurance claim. 😆
LeadSled1MemberMan, I was a little sore after the clinic. Felt like a good sore. But after a 2 hour drive home I can not walk. 😆 I had to walk around a bit and loosen up.
Craig, you missed A LOT today.
LeadSled1MemberWhere did that one go that you have of Hayden scratching his nutz, sitting on the side of the HC track. That was dead sexy. 😆
LeadSled1MemberLeadSled1- I love you calling the other riders chumps. I have to say thats humerous….
😆 I am guessing this is Jerry?
June 16, 2006 at 12:20 pm in reply to: ok what does everyone think about the new slingshot rule? #31627LeadSled1MemberHere is Kapes in gate 1 at the Gator national (NBL) 16+ open.
June 16, 2006 at 12:16 pm in reply to: ok what does everyone think about the new slingshot rule? #31625LeadSled1MemberUpshaw, Kapes (usually in the top of 16 and over) have huge slingshots. Upshaw is starting to go back to the traditional snap over some flack he has caught for slinging. Some kids are switching back and forth so it is hard to tell in the rest of the 16+ group.
If the gate is “flexy” when a rider pushes off of it to get the bike to move backward the gate will move and can throw off your balance and in turn screw up your timing as you are fighting to keep the bike up. If they are in gate 1 or 8 (further away from the air ram) the gate moves more. A lot of times it screws people just because you see the movement in your periferal vision.
LeadSled1MemberElite is a 19+ class.
Elite Men
Elite Women
Elite CruiserJunior is a 16-18 class
Junior Men
Junior Women
Junior CruiserEach are branded World Champion (they are championship classes) for the winner. Championship classes race for $$$.
Challenge is a lower level (non-championship) and have a wide range of ages from 5 & under to 45+. No $$$ involved.
The 07 quals are unknown. From what I know you will be able to qualify through the ABA next year. Maybe top 8 from ABA and top 8 from NBL. (16 total per class)
LeadSled1MemberOnly the Elite and Juniors get “world champion” status. They also get the jersey to wear for the next year with the UCI colors on them. Very prestigeous in the “cycling” world.
Us Challenge chumps just get world rankings. (W1, W2, W3 etc.)
LeadSled1MemberActually Brett is leaning against the light pole and not really on the gate. Damn trick photography. 😆
