Monday: 30 sprints
Tuesday: 2 X 25 vertical leaps.Trying to slow up as I leave for the ABA Athens national tomorrow.
LeadSled1MemberI did a piss and moan on Vbmx as vet pros who have reclassed to am are riding the pro sections on that track now and will have it wired by the Grands. How much of a level playing field is that when they have 2 months to get the track wired and the pro section short cuts down? The guys going in battling for the #1 plates will never have a chance, they only get a couple of practice laps.
My piss and moan is against the NBL as they are allowing this, not against the guys who are riding the track.
This is why the Grands should be on a purpose built track.

LeadSled1MemberYou can also win without a chain. Doesn’t mean it is the fastest way around the track or that you will always win that way. 😉
LeadSled1MemberFelt guilty for not doing anything Thursday so I mowed the 5 acre yard Friday night by taking the sulky off the back of the mower and speed walking behind it.
Today I spent from 12pm to 7pm at the track riding and working. The legs were still hurting from the mowing. 😳
LeadSled1MemberAlso, you do not need a ABA license to come down, hang out and ride. If you have never done ABA before and would like to check it out this is a good place to. Also they have the first race free/no license thing. I hope to see some guys stop in tomorrow. You can bring your kids too. JD will be there with me. They have a MX track right next to the BMX track and a remote control car track. It is also an amusement park and putput golf.
LeadSled1MemberLeadSled1MemberI was hoping some people would come down Chris. We usually set up canopies and order pizza too. Don usually gets there around noon time on non-race days.
LeadSled1MemberAnt’s going to clip in!
You know you want to…………………………. 😆
LeadSled1MemberBlue Diamond is running Sunday at 6pm, Saturdays race is canceled. I might be out there tomorrow working on the track and doing some riding/gates. Trying to get Rich and Taylor to come down and hang out too. Don did the first and second straight today so they will be rideable tomorrow.
LeadSled1MemberThere’s a few short sentances in there. They are just hiding among some really good thoughts. 🙂
The biggest thing is finding insurance that will bill per rider, per event.
Interesting note:
The largest single points race, non-national (Presidents Cup) last year had 1,249 registrations. That is over $55,000 in one day of registrations. Include the two national days that followed and it is over $150K.
LeadSled1MemberTake the Worlds level and reverse engineer it.
Attendance:
Worlds: Pros and Experts. No Novice or Rookies.

State/local: Pros, Experts, Novice and Rookies.Champions:

Nationals: Pros and Experts
Regionals: Pros, Experts and Novice
State: Pros, Experts, Novice and Rookies.LeadSled1MemberSee, even though the picture was from a later date Greg R. was able to read between the lines and pick up on the 1997 thing and Johns shoulder. I didn’t have to slam him out in the open or be brutal about it.
You missed the one where we went at it on Vintage. That was the first one and it did get brutal. I was busting out with Prince pictures and the whole 9 yards. Thats where the Rockford callout came from.
It’s all good.
LeadSled1MemberI met Greg R. at Rockford last year. He said no one had the nutz to come up to him at Rockford. I did and finally met him. I don’t remember him from back in the day, but he seems ok.
Greg, thanks for the tip. I had to dig a little to find a pic. But it’s worth a thousand words.
la-d is a pain, Greg R. is just poking fun but that guy takes it over the top. I don’t think he realizes I know who he is. I’ll have to see if he comes back on the thread.
I’m glad I can keep you guys amused. 😆
LeadSled1MemberThanks Greg, if it wasn’t for you we would all be polishing our bikes instead of riding them.
I went to do sprints last night but the helmet was still soaking wet from the night before. That was nasty so I decided to try something else. Another 4 X 25 vertical leaps to make up for no pump laps this week and worked on manualling.
