Once again, Crazy Craig…the man of few words 😆
guinnessextremeMemberI made the main at the national and regional, finished 6th both times, but I felt good out there and I am getting a bit more used to 8 man gates. I actually passed some people in the motos!
My kids did great in the morning at the national. Kyle easily won all three 7 Novice motos (after starting dead last because he is still not comfortable clipping both feet in, so he clips his left foot in while going down the hill! He then proceeded to run down and pass everyone! When he gets that down, look out expert class!) Finished 3rd in the main after being pushed up in first and second turns. Colin was mid pack all day 8 Nov, but made the main in the morning and finished 6. They were both gassed by the time the Regional started…Kyle did not even want to race. He wasn’t sandbagging, but if you saw him, you would have thought so. I told him to just roll the gate if he needed to, and thats what he did. Next year, we are not racing the national Saturday morning.

guinnessextremeMemberaaarrrgggghhhh!!! Why is it that the idiot at the NBL couldn’t have told me that it, or at least that it was on the website. Then again, why is it that you have to look at the regionals page for info on the “Supercross National”? I don’t know when they put that up, but it hasn’t been there long. Oh well, thanks for the info!
guinnessextremeMemberGuess what…there is none! According to the NBL website, there is no prerace because of the Regional Championship. So, I call the NBL and the nice lady tells me that it is true, there is no pre-race because of the championship race (I did ask the obvious question…what the hell does Friday night have to do with Saturday afternoon, she did not know), and that the listing in NBL Today was a misprint. So, I ask if there is practice or anything on Friday and she thought there would be, but was not sure (and did not offer to find out). I asked if the fine people at Woodward might know and she said it would be a good idea to call…
I call Woodward and ask if there is practice on Friday evening since the NBL tells me there is no prerace. She proceeds to read me the prerace practice schedule from the NBL and that the prerace is at 6:30… I tell her that I just got off the phone with the NBL and theytell me there is no prerace…her reply? “were just hosting it”
is it me or WTF?@!
anyone been to this before that can tell me how they did it in the past? Or is this new this year.
Thanks.
guinnessextremeMemberAs luck would have it, the sun did come out, but from what I am told, it was pretty muddy…
guinnessextremeMemberfrom Sharon (Karsten’s Mom), this morning:
“He is back at home now and well on the way to recovery, about 6-8 weeks of no harsh activity and he will be 100%.”
guinnessextremeMemberAnt, my kids are 7 and 8and half…both novices now and locally they usually end up racing each other. Usually the little guy beats his older brother, and yes, it does require some “counseling”! I try to focus on what each of them does good on a section of the track instead of who beats who. So far it has gone pretty well and the older one is getting tired of getting beat!

guinnessextremeMemberquick update…Karsten is out of intensive care as of about 9:30 Sunday night. (BTW, it is Morristown Memorial, not Mercer)
Also, he tore his spleen and had internal bleeding.
Thanks all…

cant get the pic on here (I’m at work), but follow the link, what about something like this but on a BMX bike?
guinnessextremeMemberpaulkka…we would all like to see what you got. Put it up if you can!
guinnessextremeMemberget better you all. hate hearing this, thanks for fighting the good fight for NJ!
LorenguinnessextremeMemberI am not even sure how to comment on that post 😕
guinnessextremeMemberI keep hearing about committees, riders voting etc…unfortunately, in a true democracy, either NOTHING gets done, or a dictatorship happens. That being said, we obviously need a jersey this year…soon. So, as I see it, we have 2 ideas (the yellow/blue, and the Devil). If there are any other ideas, lets bring them to the meeting on the 9th and come to a conclusion. FWIW (for what its worth, Brett! 🙄 ) If we come to a concensus here, that should be brought up at the meeting also, as I am sure not everyone will attend.
For next year…lets start early, have say 5 designs and vote on them.
Loren OUT!
guinnessextremeMemberBrett, I will be there. As for agenda, someone brought up each track holding a gate practice to get ready for the Pres Cup. Would be a good time to figure that out.
LorenguinnessextremeMembermaybe I am stupid, but…what the hell are you talking about!!!!!!!!
