My impression was that ‘the board’ doesnt think it can be done legally. I will defer to Rich on that. I did not hear anyone say they were not interested. It would seem to me that the board needs to be walked through the steps. Baby steps at first.

guinnessextremeMemberState Championship has been moved to Oct 06. At HCBMX of course.
guinnessextremeMemberThe box??? Its a bike, theyre made for riding, not keeping in a box!!!
guinnessextremeMemberHappy glad to hear that Bill…no one wants to see you in a skin suit!
guinnessextremeMemberthank you for that picture of loveliness 😳
guinnessextremeMemberthe reason I have heard for not making the bylaws accessible is that certain types would look in them for every and any loophole and exploit it. I think they need to be posted. If NJBMX does encounter some moron who wants to exploit things, that is when WE need to step in and back up the board or whoever.
On a side note, I was part of the recent elections at the incline club. I sort of walked in on it, I was there as a track rep…Can someone tell me why that was a closed session? I understand that only track reps/board members could vote or nominate, but why did everyone else get booted out of the room?

guinnessextremeMemberWho said it is not important. For the record, the person who said it was supportive of the change, just putting a consideration out there.
We, I just need to have justification and how it will affect things like regional points, etc. when we bring it to the board, including all the positives and negatives we can think of and how to overcome them.
LorenguinnessextremeMember“BAWLS keep the riders bouncing after catching a buzz”
Just what kids need to hear! the worst part about it is the marketing. At least Red Bull, Monster etc talk about performance…this just sounds like drugs.
guinnessextremeMemberHeres a new wrinkle…what about the college kids?
“The 17 & over girls, the 17-24 20″ class, and the SuperX class will all have several college students.”
Don’t want to alienate them….
guinnessextremeMember80mg caffeine/ 12 oz in Bawls and Red Bull. Bawls obviously is a much bigger container.
Q:Is BAWLS Guarana dangerous for children?
A:BAWLS Guarana contains caffeine and like all caffeinated beverages should be consumed in moderation, particularly by children and individuals with health concerns or caffeine sensitivityThe message it sends to kids is they need to supplement their performance.
I know Deb, your thinking this is coming from the “Rockstar” guy…I have been rethinking that even before I saw this.
Is it a good thing? Gatorade, Powerade etc would be a good thing.

guinnessextremeMemberWell said Kevin 🙂
guinnessextremeMemberI/ Brett was thinking more along the lines of the regular state series ending early October, then a mini fall series after that to extend the season. These races are pretty much just ‘fun’ races anyway and I think it would make them even more popular to tie them together and hype it. Could draw more riders to all 3 of them. The ‘mini’ series could consist class too, instead of just the King of Flats races, I don’t know how difficult it is to put this all together.

guinnessextremeMemberA crime is a crime. If I kill somebody or beat them, how is my motive (aside from self defense etc) important? I beat someone because they are ‘blue’, I beat someone to rob them…same crime?
Watch out for the thought police in all of this!
guinnessextremeMembercongrats Fred…get that kid a bike yet?
guinnessextremeMembermoron!
