Here’s the future folks – not only do they ride – they got their own website. BITD all we had was our big mouths (nothin’s changed, huh?) and maybe you got lucky and got a pic in the sanction newspaper because you were chasing a factory dude at a big race (right place, right time). Now these guys come in here with all this technology to promote themselves – I love it.
Keep up the good work you crazies – thanks for keeping it real and having a positive attitude – we need more like you! 😀
CrazyCraigMemberWow – I gotta a fan club! 😀
Seriously – I have to throw some props to Dave – when I first met him, to me he was just another goofy kid at the track (no different than me) who was looking for a place to fit in and go out and get dirty. If you told me then that he would become a serious dude on a bike with a big pair of brassies – I honestly would have not believed you. But then again, who am I to talk – I didn’t get smooth until I was 21. Yeah, I won my share of races in 16 & 17x and cruiser BITD – but I was not pretty on a bike – and most would say I just aint pretty period. 😆
Dave – good to hook back up with ya after 16 years – I got nothin but respect for ya – you rock – keep it up – I bet you’ll be hammering until your 60. 😯
CrazyCraigMemberBrett – we’re not talking daycare for the rider’s bro. 😆
Seriously – I spoke to Rodney today – and we both had our hands full with kids Saturday. Mine, as much as I love them – we’re the reason that I did not get in any practice before the races – and Rodney would have loved to help his older son race (brand new racer) – but he had his hands full with his youngest.
This is not something that is gonna get solved overnight – and by far is not at the top of the list – but lets hope the adults can discuss this and get some positive feedback and ideas.
To put this in perspective – there were two mains Saturday at HC – and one of those was for a combined 30-34, 35-39 cruiser class – so this should tell you who is coming out to the track and that we possibly have a legit need here.
CrazyCraigMemberOkay – here we go again. 😯
Eradikator – dude – I don’t know Jim personally – but I do know that this site is about moving things forward. As far as I have seen – Jim has not posted anything yet here and may only be a casual observer. He obviously must have done something on a bike if he’s gotten some people’s attention.
I am gonna get on Brett’s soap box here – WE NEED EVERY POSITIVE INFLUENCE AND IDEA OUT THERE IF WE WANT TO RE-GROW BMX IN NJ (and beyond).
I am not telling anyone how to think – but if we don’t put out a the right message – especially to folks like Jim – you can kiss BMX goodbye.
Like I said – I do not know Jim personally – but if this guy has even ONE GOOD CONNECTION in the bicycle world – regardless of where it is – it could someday open doors for NJ BMX, and BMX in general.
So please – you wanna rant on someone – go out in the woods and yell it at the top of your lungs – but leave the garbage in the dumpster – don’t dump it here.
Cool?
CrazyCraigMemberRodney – first, thanks for bringing the parts to the track Saturday – it helped alot.
Regarding day care – you saw what I had to handle Saturday – so I am definitely down with that – so I’m gonna put my thinking cap on and hopefully some of the folks who run the tracks can comment on this to let us know if its viable.
CrazyCraigMemberwith today’s longer frames and XL necks – it makes you wonder how we raced these things. 😆

CrazyCraigMemberI am officially going to petition the NBL to not allow Farside in the Novice class – anyone who can win the 30+ Open is waaaaaaaaay over-qualified. 😀 😀 😀
Boy – what did I start here – why do I get the feeling some elbows are coming my way on the track. 😯
Go big or go home – right? Well – now y’all know I got the big mouth – I just better be able to back it up!!
CrazyCraigMembergee whiz – can’t y’all let me get back in a little more shape before putting up newer bigger stuff? Y’all trying to kill me? 😯 lol
CrazyCraigMemberTo all the kiddies reading this post – as far as I know, almost everyone on this thread is of legal drinking age except for rideodybmx. So please do not think we are a bunch of future Alchoholics Anonymous attendees. We’re just having fun, except for Dave, who I am sure is having a beer.
CrazyCraigMemberAs of now – yes – just making sure the kids are covered. But – not sure when I’m getting there.
CrazyCraigMemberBut Dave – you are the expert in the Beer department! lol
CrazyCraigMemberuh-oh. I think I got litte Davey mad. 😥
I better watch my a** on the track. 😯
CrazyCraigMemberCaveman – hows this for hard core:
Back in 1988 I raced a Mountain Bike race in the morning in Jefferson, NJ – and then went out to Cedar for a Triple Pointer.
It was my first MTB race – I sprinted out to the front (like an idiot) – about half way through we hit the biggest mountain in Morris County – and it felt like my left lung collapsed. I was toast. When I showed up at Cedar – I could not even practice – but somehow managed to pull a double in 17X and cruiser than day.
CrazyCraigMemberYou aint old enough to race me – plus you gotta take the training wheels off first. 😆
