I have raced CJ, HC & EHT one time each this year. Bit hard at EHT in practice, it rained my first day at HC, and then I bit hard in the third moto at CJ, so not sure if I have a favorite yet.

I have raced the following NJ tracks:

    Jersey City Armory
    Waretown
    Braddock
    Vineland
    Cape May
    Deptford
    Clayton
    Lake Melody (West Milford)
    Toms River
EHT in ’83 (ABA – when it was called Bargaintown BMX)
    EHT in 88-89 (5 turns)
    The current version of EHT
    The old HC 88-89
    The new HC
The current version of CJ (never raced there in the past)

Not a bad list, huh?? A little hard to pick a favorite – although I’m partial to Braddock cause it was my home track. I also liked the old HC in 88-89.

Family coming over – not sure – trying to talk the Mrs into it – at least to let me head on down for practice. I REALLY want to go to EHT tomorrow night for the double – but it’s Easter vigil at Church.- the Mrs would REALLY not like that.

Let him know that if he gets off his bike and lends a hand – you’d be done that much sooner and then he can ride.

Okay – so I’m a nice guy. But thats where I’d start.

To comment on my last post – it is rideable ride now – but in its current condition its limited in what you can do there. There is a bump in the middle similiar to the first hump at CJBMX – so I got in some practice pedaling over it.

I went and visited the Crater today. It’s still there – but worn down by time. Still, I think if there were a way to get a bunch of people up there with rakes, shovels, a wheelbarrel and a chain saw (or at least an ax to be quiet) – the place still has lots of potential. I doubt highly we could sneak any machinery up there – its on county land – every so often the park police come up there on horseback. Plus – its in earshot of some newer homes – but nicely hidden in the woods and high enough on a hill so it does not draw any attention.

This is not something I have a lot of time to commit to, but if enough Morris County-area folks told me they would want to develop a nice spot to ride and jump at, I would definitely help make it happen. As it stands – I would need to spend a day up there by myself just to make the place rideable – but an all-out effort by a crew would be needed to make it a serious place. Hayden – if this ever does happen – I’d want to get your input – I think you would definitely see the potential.

Its located on the border of Whippany & Parsippany and best accessed off Reynolds Ave. PM me if anyone wants specifics. Just riding the trails through the woods to get there was fun and a pretty good workout.

    No promotion for Caveman

I am just starting to catch up with all this and when I went on CJBMX I saw in the results that Caveman runs Superclass at 35 – that is awesome man! It gives me somethng to shoot for.

Hope the knee feels better Dave. See ya next race.

…as a matter of fact – yes I was trying to catch Farside – or at least come in second behind him.

Rich asked if it was okay to combine the 35 and everyone older cruisers into a 6 man gate. I am glad he did because it pushed me to run hard – but maybe too hard. 😯 Don’t worry Rich – I aint blaming ya – honest – I just gotta start jumping again. I’m a little jump-shy since bailing at the Jack Frost – but I’ll get it back.

Unlike Caveman – I’m feeling better today – but I significantly bruised at least 6 different parts of my body. Can’t wait to see the pretty colors from the shot I took in the ribs. 😯

Still – I did have fun!!

    Legend – udaman.

Tidey – I can’t believe you got most of the cruiser together that fast – when I saw it at the track today – it was just a frame. Smokin dude!

Hey Brett – I think I bit it worse than you did in my third moto!

All I can say is its time for me to start working on jumping and manuals. My ribs hurt bro. Nothing broken – but its gonna leave a mark.

But – I did have fun today. I gotta thank Rich for combining the cruiser classes from 35 up to make it interesting. He probably could have brought Chris G. and the 14yr old up too. Either way it was fun chasin ya today Rich – well – at least for two motos. 😯

Yes Bill – I lead, no, make that I was the squiddly squadron in the 3rd moto today. And Wog – if yer reading this – in the third moto the grunt came back. 😀

I’m down with that Bill – sounds like fun.

I hope you saw the smiley and lol after my post – just trying to inject some humor – but I just can’t seem to get a laugh out of ya lately. 🙄
