But Ant – you would be racing Farside on 20″ at the locals. 😯
CrazyCraigMemberThe Gnecco family – 6 kids if I recall – and they had that brown bus that was semi-converted to an RV. No mistaking them at the track.
Okay – another name to throw out there: Who remembers Sal Echel? I would love to know if he kept all his old Pattersons, they would be worth a mint now.
If we get ALL the old timers to show up, we’d start pulling 40-50 motos at a local again. 😉

jesse.. that pic is sooo awesome
Dave – when I saw that Pic I just assumed it was your bike! 😆
CrazyCraigMemberI was at CJ yesterday just to pick up a f&f, but did not race but heard them say something about a pump race – I am really curious to know what this was.
Can ya try to explain it?
CrazyCraigMemberI just read that whole post and in it they talked about a covered facility in Columbia SC for the grands. Nothing definite yet but that would be sweet. I would drive to either one, but I think SC is closer – and rain would be a non-factor.
I have never been to the Louisville track – but if the chamber of commerce heard her remarks about not caring about the local economy – they’d stone her for sure. An event is an event – when you have that many people coming in – dollars will be spent.
Brett – it seems many on the Vintage site hold the same opinion as you – we the racers and families are the ones spending the $$ so they need to start realizing this and listening to us.

CrazyCraigMemberI think we set a record on the Turnpike that night for sure – and I remember counting about 20 troopers – but they were all busy writing someone else a ticket. The cool thing about your old house in Kearny is it was SOOO easy to get on the ‘Pike.
But my hats off to Billy for the 20hr trip to OK.

It’s going to be live on Speed tomorrow night and I have to be one of the six people in this country that don’t have cable.
You truly are a cave man!
CrazyCraigMemberAnt dog – you and me! We can take ’em!
CrazyCraigMemberWho can forget Wayne King? When I was a nov he was real cool to me. Once I went Ex – well, that was a different story, but we tried to leave it on the track. Lot of respect for that guy – he could ride.
I got another one for you – who remembers Captain Chaos? I think his name was Jim Dempsey or something like that. Rode for Peddler I think – or Original. In 1989 he showed up at Flemington and he was even kind of on my team the Wrecking Crew for certain races (back before you had to have your teams registered and could throw whoever on a team roster for the day).
He used to wear a cape when he raced, he looked like Captain America, plus he would do the pit bike races – they were always fun to watch.
CrazyCraigMemberNow I have a goal – to make the World Championship team for 2008 (I think I’m too late for 2007, right Rich?)
If that happens – it will be 40-44 Cruiser with Rich!
CrazyCraigMemberCrazyCraigMemberBack in 84-85 I remember there being alot of jumps that had to be jumped at the Nats. Big step-ups, doubles, even triples shaped like a Z. They really separated the men from the boys in some races.
CrazyCraigMemberHoward County Maryland had a split third straight – stay to the left and you had to jump a water hole with an inflatable gator in it. It was sweet.
I cased my back rim several times on it. You had to come out of turn 2 just right to keep your speed. It would allow a guy in the back with no one in his way to make up ground, too.
Kmart – Wog has been out riding. He even showed up at the National with the wife and kids to check the comp.
