Awesome Jess. Not sure if I want to move up after hearing that. 😀

I will admit I fell off the wagon a little last week. I ended up going to SouthPark and not Woodbridge (had to move my schedule around) and got slammed in the main, tweaked the shoulder. I used this as an excuse to do almost nothing last week, and even put some weight on (no joke).

I have had some trouble staying on a schedule. Partly due to work and the last 3 weeks due to a health situation with my father-in-law, but I have still kept going as best as I can. I raced Saturday at Flemington, and when I got home I did 20 short sprints. With the tweaked shouler, I had to go easy on the gate. I did notice I had gotten back to going too hard out of the gate (why else was I snapping everyone at SouthPark but getting pulled down the straight?) so the tweaked shoulder kind of helped “slow” me down, if that makes sense.

I took a good recovery ride on my mountain bike yesterday (a rather old Stumpjumper with no shocks, no clips, etc.) and a short one today. Also did 3×12 vertical leaps this morning, but need to rest cause I am racing tomorrow at EHT. I will almost use tomorrow like a practice night and work on gates, etc to prepare for state qualifiers later in the week.

So if you want to know what people want to see click on the most popular link at the http://www.njbmxphoto.com site.

This site also has no affiliation with the NJBMX.org site.

Jeff, in a previous post I alluded to the fact that your photo site might have been affiliated with NJ BMX.org, so thanks for correcting me. Either way its a great photo site and thanks for your enthusiasm for the sport. Your photos are awesome.

…Except one thing. No pics of me at South Park. Dunrite9 was looking for some. 😀 😀 😀 😀

and one more thing, just like Tidey said, we love to bust here, so stay and have some fun, you’ll soon realize that we are all well intentioned here (well, for the most part 😀 )

Also….why does growing the “sport ” as you guys call it the main objective? What about personal satisfaction? Fun,creativity?????????

If you ask me there is too many Capitilist agendas on this site……oh but I guess you never asked me did ya?????????

Alot of us, I hope, do get a certain amount of personal satisfaction out of helping grow the sport. I know Brett sure does, or this sight wouldn’t be here.

But, yes, I am getting personal satisfaction out of it too. I lost almost 25 pounds, lowered my blood pressure and other stats, and finally fit back into size 38 pants (heading for 36) after hitting a high of size 42. I’m in my best shape in 10 years and I have the very personal satisfaction of winning my class at the CJ Regional while my 5 year old son cheered me on. There was no better satisfaction than that!!!

Fun? Hellya I’m having fun! I’m doing things on a bike (again) that 6 months ago I did not believe I could do again. Camping out and playing foot-down (at midnight in the dark with glow sticks in our spokes) at South Park with the Tidey crew, that was big fun!

Creativity? Well, not sure how I measure up there, don’t think I am doing anything particularly creative on a bike, except inspiring some little dudes to try harder.

Capitalistic interests? Hey, my business (mortgages) depends on networking. I’m hanging out on a site with people I like, I’m gonna tell them what I do. People usually refer people to people they like and know. My other site: Kick-ass stuff for active folks like us. Why should I keep that a secret? But, until this post, I have never promoted either in a post other than my signatures.

But, I’m not arguing with ya or trying to debate anything, just giving my 2 cents again.

Capitalism + Altruism = Compassionate Capitalism.

This is something we all need to promote.

Someone, please someone, come up with something really funny to say here. I used up my two major flashes of wit for the year, so I’m having brain freeze on this.

Still, nice form. Who held the bike for you while you got into position??? 😉

Okay, okay, that was really not nice of me. But funny. 😉

If you bring the chipmonk to hang out with the ground hogs, then Alvin will tell them about his taste of Tanqueray, and then the ground hogs will attack Bill. You’re gonna start a whole generation of inebriated ground hogs. Next thing you know you’ll see reports of ground hogs knocking over the local liquor store. It will turn into a bad Sci-Fi channel horror movie. lol

Ground hogs & Chipmonks: Just say no to alcohol.

    Back to Ant Dog’s rant:

Ant, we live in a free enterprise system and if there is an opportunity to make an honest profit, then there is nothing wrong with it. I went to the photo site, thought it was cool, and I’m sure parents would love to get pics of their kids doing this, as long as the prices are reasonable. Yeah, you might not think it was the most pressing need, but obviously someone has that skill and its their way of contributing. And if some or all of the net profit is being put back into the State bank account, then it helps pay for all the flyers. For every new project you have to have a funding source.

Thats my 2 cents on the subject.
