Someone lock this thread before I laugh myself silly! 😀

Rich, no decision on Woodward yet. I had made it once and most people agreed, thought you were one of them. I love all the sandbags though. Nice touch.

But, my original decison was made before the Grands so now everyone probably thinks I wrecked on purpose not to get the move-up points. lol

If I stay Nov for Woodward, then thats it, I move up the next race regardless of the outcome, although wouldn’t NJ like me to race the Pres Cup as Nov? (just kidding!)

I think I will know how I feel the week before and take it from there. So, no more debate, lets all get back to work.

Whoever it was, they did the right thing and I’m glad they did. I hope they keep doing more of the same.

Now now boys, please don’t fight over me. 🙄

Obviously I know Taft better than anyone on here, and know where he is coming from.

But, for what its worth Imwatchin, it was Brett that sorta talked me back into racing, or at least showing up. You could call me a poser if I came back in great shape but raced rookie and sat down in the races. But, coming in at 256 with a 42 waist and barely making it around EHT without medical assitance on March 3rd to be where I am at now (not that I am all that), I can take alot of personal pride in my accomplishments and do not have to explain myself to anyone. But, I do choose to open myself up to the court of public opinion more than most, so I know I’m gonna take it on the chin once in awhile.

But, as you see, I’m not throwin punches on here, and really do appreciate everyone’s input on this. It been a very constructive conversation and if nothing else, its making people think. I have become a live case study if you will. I wish alot of the parents of younger riders were reading this, if for no other reason than to get them thinking too. Ultimately everyone has to do what they truly feel is right for them and/or their kids.

That IS the 17X class from BITD! No joke, I used to race Tennette!

And Rich, okay, so yer not bustin on me, just giving me a good rib-bing, right?

I know, that was bad, but couldnt resist! 😆 Okay, okay, stop groaning everyone!

I don’t have any Superclass plates. I raced two regionals & a Nat before spending too much time with my G/F and not enough on the bike and fell out of it the next year. My best NBL Expert Plate was State #3, I did not go to Grands that year. I raced both ABA & NBL and did not have enough Nats for either that year (1989). So this was my very first National ranking. I know regional is a points chase much like the old ABA District plates were, and most people know that, too. Still, I guess to get #1 with just over three months feels good, but then it opens up the whole sandbaggin debate again: If someone is that good to shoot to the top that fast in Nov, why are they still there?

I’m kind of becoming the poster child for this, aren’t I?

But at least Wiley is is not being too harsh. Thanks Chris!

I figure I’d close this thread out by getting back to the original topic.

The guy that called me out said in his post that he beats me most of the time, although the only races we were in together were the South Park pre-race and Day 1 main event (I got crashed to a 7th). And then there was New Paltz where I beat him.

He was in my motos and went 2-5-3 and we never bumped once (I went 1-1-1) He fell out in the 1/8ths. After the third moto I congratulated him on good racing, asked if he was okay (he fell in the 2nd moto) and then asked him if we were “cool” and he said yeah, were cool.

So, alot of drama for nothing, but he did give me a rep going in, as one other guy who was in my 1/8th, 1/4 and semi called me sketchy. He didn’t make it out of the semi. He crashed.

Boy, you guys are relentless. In the end its my body on the track. I feel when you are 39 it should give you some leeway, but you guys just aint letting up, are you? 🙄

But, I am enjoying this, its fun and I don’t mind getting bagged on here by my friends! 😀

Paul – I know I am walking a fine line. I still have not made my decision about Woodward yet. I have plenty of reasons to make my decision either way. Maybe more than anybody I can understand why folks sandbag. When you see that #1 Plate you get greedy. We all want to be #1 in something at some point, right?

Imwatchin – same thing, and from where most of you stand and from what you read, you will have your opinions. You didn’t see me bust a rib, tweak a shoulder, rip up an arm, sprain my thumb and push a tweaked knee only to slam into an RV and spend 8 days rehabbing.

Rich – I know yer bustin, we talked at the Grands about this.

Bill – too late for Rich to make you look like the nice guy, you already threw me under the train once. 😆 But its all good like I told you.

Dang, I feel like I’m on Oprah under the magnifying glass. Someone call Dr. Phil for me, okay?

Remember, I choose how I want to finish out the season. And however I do it is something I gotta feel right about for me in the long run.

Nice work Brett & Scott Cranmer with the info they gave the reporter. I have seen newspaper stories in the past where the reporters totally mess things up and paint the wrong picture, but it appears this guy really listened to you and got the right idea.

Lets get this guy to keep coming out!!

CrazyCraig I think it is time for you to practice what you preach. You are always posting about no rookies at nationals and crying about sandbaggers. Set an example for the younger riders and do the right thing.

I have never cried about sandbaggers in my class even though they are there (except in Jersey). Like Brett said, its about who is fastest on race day, and this past weekend I proved his theory for the most part. But, yeah, I have ripped career rookies and givin out titles to them.

My definition of a sandbagger is the guy who pulls perfects and then sits down in the main, etc. so he does not get move ups. 35 Nov obviously had them this year with one 850 and a bunch of close ones. Yet the Grands showed a few of them weren’t all that. Obviously my results are an indictment of myself and what everyone is saying here.

Rich, I love the sand bags, but for those who don’t know I did not get the N1 for 2006 (I got N13). Yes, I got the State 1 and maybe the 1w, but I am moving up y’all, don’t worry. I’m just waiting for Rich’s ribs to heal before I do so its a fair race! 😛

…and Rich said I’m not allowed on the gate with him until I get a front end alignment to keep my bike straight. Right, Rich?!
