HC BMX can elect two reps and 1 alternate, so hopefully you can influence that vote and get say Hamblin & Danek and you. You do not have to live in the state just need to call HC your home track and have them choose you. Were not asking them to do anything other than be track reps at the state meetings and help steer this thing.
CrazyCraigMemberPeople will not care how much you know until they know how much you care.
CrazyCraigMemberI just didn’t pop off the lip right. Otherwise, I might have made it over the top, too. 😯
C’mon, ya gotta admit that video was fun to watch.
CrazyCraigMemberJess. Thanks. I needed a good laugh today. 😆 Love the visual.
CrazyCraigMemberSorry about that Bill, I should have elaborated. I was referring to the fact that IF we had to go to the extreme of nailing them on something like non-disclosure of the books, etc, then we have that option if needed. Hopefully it wont get to that like Rich said.
It sounds like we could get track reps from HC and CJ that would be on board for evolution and change, but how do we go about getting new track reps from EHT. Is it just a matter of mobilizing enough parents and getting them to an EHT meeting so they can choose new reps more in line with moving things forward? I know a few of the parents there, its just a matter of making phone calls. Do you need to be a “member” of EHT BMX first, or just a motivated 18 or over rider and/or parent that calls it their home track?
CrazyCraigMemberOr at least monetary backing from USAC would be nice.
The way I see it, is I need to train my butt off for the US Championships in Michigan and make THAT main on either my cruiser or 20. The one thing in my favor is I would race cruiser in 40-44, not 35-39. I turn 40 in August. Not that 40-44 is slowing down its just not as stacked as 35-39 (based on my expereince at the 2006 Grands).
CrazyCraigMember…and now for another epsiode of “Samurai BMX”
“No one will listen to wise words of samurai, so I fall on my sword!”
CrazyCraigMemberCoke. No Pepsi. (or was it Pepsi, no Coke?)
Cheebugger cheebugger cheebugger cheebugger.
Calling all classic SNL fans.
CrazyCraigMemberLike Rich said yesterday, if NJBMX should dissolve at the January meeting, then we would be in a position to start a new NJBMX (with a slightly different name for legal purposes) and start anew.
CrazyCraigMember…someone cue John Mellencamp’s “When the walls…..come tumblin down, when the walls……” Or maybe a little Bob Dylan…you get the picture.
To ANYONE reading this. We the riders and parents want one thing, and one thing only: BMX at its best. Period.
I look forward to continuing to build a coalition and unified voice to evolve, change and grow this wonderful sport of BMX Racing.
CrazyCraigMember..thats the version with just the short simple words in big print and lots of pictures, right Bill? lol
I’m impressed Bill. Didn’t think many of the mountain folk up by you knew how to read. 😆 j/k
Speaking of books, someone remind me to bring the book “Better BMX Riding & Racing for Boys & Girls” to the track sometime, or better yet I’ll try and scan some pics. Almost all the pics are from Braddock in 1983. I am on the cover, but of course I did not get mentioned (I should sue for royalties). Y’all would enjoy it and have fun picking out some of the folks.
CrazyCraigMemberGod Bless all those who have and continue to serve our country protecting the freedom we have to do the things we do.
CrazyCraigMemberare we still meeting at 2pm at CJBMX?
CrazyCraigMemberANYONE is allowed to join those groups and post whatever they want.
CrazyCraigMemberDude, in the Velodrome vid, unless someone used some computer trickery to manipulate that vid, watch the rider in pink: he head butts the guy next to him causing the crash.
