A bunch of stuff has sold – the list has been updated.
Paul C – I am getting my new GHP Star Bars tonight, I will get you the full price for the Redline bars and DX pedals shortly (probably by Thursday as I will be at the ups store Wed night to ship some other stuff out)
CrazyCraigMemberdude – save everyone some time and post yer price range – this will help folks keep their eyes open for ya.
Someone in my town is selling a decent Jeep Wrangler for $2300.
CrazyCraigMemberGrass roots? Did someone say grassroots?
Greg Hill is killin’ it in this area. I spoke with him the other day and there are 8-9 new GHP grassroots teams around the country. The deal we have couldn’t be sweeter and we have true factory support at the local level.

Other Options: E-mail Story Print StoryVictor Behm of Mays Landing has been riding BMX since he was 6 years old. “I got into the sport because I got hit by a car and broke my leg and needed something to get back in action.”
Now he is a six-time state and northeast regional champion.
“I like this sport because it’s a thrill to be in the air and to go fast.”
Along with about 3 hundred other riders victor is taking part in the Jack Frost Classic BMX race in Egg Harbor Township this weekend.
It’s an annual kick event for the BMX track at Veterans Memorial Park which has been in existence for 29 years.
Track Director Chris Vliet says, “It’s great for this area because you get kids that don’t play other sports like football and baseball out, or those that don’t play much. Nobody sits the bench here. Every riders gets to race out on the track.”
This winter the EHT track made some renovations to challenge riders.
They include rebuilding these asphalt turns and 2 of the hilly straight-aways.
Taylor Farside of Vineland says BMX is a great sport for girls and expects to win this weekend because this is her home track.
“You just have to look out for ruts cause they slow you down and try not to hit your brakes.”
Riders ranging from 3 to 65 years old come from all over the region for the race and to enjoy the EHT track through out the year.
“Kids love it and you can get friends across the nation and in the local area,” says Vliet.
“Everybody goes out of their way to help each other. If a rider needs a part another one will pick up the slack and help,†said Anthony Brown of Edison, NJ.
And for Victor Behm who doesn’t like to talk about his racing accomplishments, he says coming to the BMX park is just plain fun.
“People say my style is nice because it’s my own and it’s unique.”
The e–h–t track will host races each Saturday this spring and Thursday nights in the summer.CrazyCraigMemberI’m too tired to think of anything funny to say – but this picture seems appropriate for some reason. Have at it everyone. Sorry Ant. 🙄
CrazyCraigMemberTomorrow will be a decent size race with lots of folks from out of state – so you may have a hard time trying to combine. See y’all there. I gotta go to sleep now.
CrazyCraigMemberOn Rich Carolan’s advice – I will clip in around town and on trails first to get the hang of them. I will say this, I like the Atomlab Quikstep concept. I think they will work well for me.
As for Farside’s comment about full hockey gear – I know to bring it whether I’m clipped in or not… 😯
Remember – If I fall on ya, I still weigh over 230 – and y’all have seen how hard I can fall. The only thing worse would be having Klimecki fall on ya. 😛
Lets have fun this Saturday!!
CrazyCraigMemberSay “Hi” to the Osmand family while yer out there, okay?
CrazyCraigMemberIf you want to know EVERYTHING (well, almost everything) that is going on with BMX in New Jersey – you HAVE to read this site.
And that is not intended as a slap to anyone. Just stating facts.
CrazyCraigMemberLooks like we will have a new school / old school showdown between Factory Legend and GHP/Atomlab Northeast.
GHP/Atomlab Northeast is also co-sponsored by Starwin Mortgage, HRP Designs, Vaypor Designs and announcing our newest sponsor: Bawls!
Yes – there will finally be a team in NJ that has “Bawls”.
February 21, 2007 at 6:54 pm in reply to: Promotions Committee ~tentative~ sponsorship levels #40138CrazyCraigMemberWho guarantees that 100 posters will be strategically posted around the state?
I am interested in being a state series sponsor (Starwin Mortgage)
CrazyCraigMemberYeah Dave – I bought some new pedals from one of our team sponsors, Atomlab. Yes, I will be clipping in, but have not done so yet. I haven’t made the time to ride recently, so at the Jack Frost I will still be on flats.
But….if I want to make a serious run at anything this year in 35+ Expert, its been recommended to me that I should clip in. We’ll see how it goes.
CrazyCraigMember😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯
CrazyCraigMemberBilly – I see your point. Honest. But lets take baby steps here.
The money that was intially budgeted for those awards can now be moved over to the promotional committee – and then its up to the that group to use it wisely.
I think what they were saying at the meeting is this: in order to accept this grant ASAP we needed to itemize stuff right away, and here were some things we know we are going to spend money on. AND we get the new PA system AND a dedicated computer to make things run smoother at state races, etc. Not a bad deal to start.
BIG PICTURE: Carolan is on board, and his foundation has clout. Now, if the right people take the lead on this, we can focus on raising more money which is now made easier by saying we are supported by the Carolan Foundation, blah, blah, blah.
BUT – Billy – I do hear ya and understand your concerns. It would have been nice to say that $x amount is for developing a school promotional programs to be shared with the tracks, or something else, etc. If we stay positive on this, we will get there. Try to keep the faith.
CrazyCraigMembersweet ride Eric.
My Sabre plate has the same writing on it, but its just a flat plate.
