Now thats progression. Build the practice tracks and post info there about the race tracks. Sweet.
Just like the parks – kids & teens go there and grind it out and the ones who think they “got it” travel to the comps.
To be very honest – I was shocked when I found out NJBMX did not own the website.
Yes – NJBMX.org, a 501c3 non-profit corp, whose mission should be to PROMOTE BMX to NEW RIDERS like crazy – should OWN its own website.
If they do not, then they are at the mercy of one person. As someone said to me today, its like the kid at the park who has the only bat and ball. Everyone is real nice to him because they don’t want him to leave and take the bat and ball with him.
Not sure how much I will get down there between now and the National. But I am training.
My kid wants to try T-ball (games every Saturday 4/21 right up to the Regional at CJ) but also now says he wants to race (he would be 6 rookie) PLUS my wife has him in dance class on Saturdays thru June 3rd(dont laugh – he really likes it). So Flemington is out, and Sunday is church day unless its a state race or Nat, so you might see me down there Saturday nights until this all breaks. Otherwise I hope to hit Flemington on Wednesdays for practice once they open.

The way I am reading all this tells me keepitreal has never ever had a personal conversation with Rich, or anyone else in this thread. Or, if you have, you already made up you mind a long time ago about what you think based on what you think the facts are.
Recently I posted something without knowing ALL the facts and two people, who I think I can call friends at this point, PM’d me and basically ripped me a new tooter. But…I respected that, realized where I did not have all my facts, but at the same time tried to moderate the conversation so most everyone would respect the other’s opinion since ultimately we were all on the same side.
That said, Rich is not perfect. I believe if he were to botch something he would man up and say something, he is not the type to hide. I also do not see where you can say he is hiding behind his keyboard when he is a VERY visible person in BMX – locally AND nationally. You can walk up to Rich ANY time and he will talk with you. Is he opinionated? Hell yeah! But he has got the experience to back it up. Am I saying he is perfect and is 100% right about everything, hell no, nobody is. But right now, at this very crucial juncture of moving things forward, you can’t ask for much better.
Last thought (yes Billy, I’ll be done soon 🙄 ): I personally do not believe Rich messed anything up last year. But guess what: in order to get the momentum going that is really needed to build this back up, some mistakes are gonna be made. But at least he is doing something!! That is why several have questioned “what have you done?”. No, it is not a prequalifcation that you must have “done something” to come on here and start a thread and voice your opinion, but when you are trying to call out someone who has done nothing but bust his a** for a sport that he absolutely loves, well my friend, if you cannot tell us who you are then we do not know what contributions you have made that would make us want to at least be open to listening to you.

Brett – you should put a 15 day freeze on a new account so they can poke around here and read several of the threads first before they are allowed to post – that way they would know the humor behind so much of this. Seriously, I know you will never do it, but I am just saying this to get my point across.
As for the Grant thread – a bunch of us are having fun and blowing off some steam at the same time – and maybe some are going farther than that – but since I am not sitting with everyone at their keyboards – I will never know the full intent of their posts. Still, I laughed my a** off at many of the posts in that thread, or has Billy might say – I just blew my drink out my nose onto the computer cause I laughed so hard.
That said – when I read the post that started this thread I thought “oh sh*t – its gonna hit the fan now!”
I have made some miscues this year, and by no means am I putting Farside on a pedestal – but Rich – yer an animal – on the track and off – and I mean that in the best way. I personally do not know you well enough to know what drives you to do all this – but we need at least 10 more people like you.
Keep it up – tenacity and persistence always prevail in a worthwhile endeavor.
Dave – where do you go to get stickers made – I want to get some for my team.
Dave, maybe Mr. Grant is there making $5000 bets and looking for a good lap top dance.
Maybe, just maybe, You can find Pro Motion down there because he seems to have gotten lost.
Now if we can only figure out a way to keep our heads clipped on we got it made….
