No, I did not hit my goals this year. I set a few early on, but allowed alot of things to distract me. Kind of got back on them with the Greg Hill clinic, but then some career issues beyond my control sidetracked things again, and then my fall at Howell rattled my gray matter somewhat.
I do want to publicly apologize for a couple of things. It was a very tough year career wise, and in August the mortgage company I worked with was put out of business by Wall Street. At the track I got too focused on “winning” the state #1 and made a few questionable moves in order to get some first place finishes. At the time I felt I was just racing, but these were moves you would only pull at a National or other big race with alot on the line, not at a local race against friends. There are 2-3 35+Experts that I hope read this and accept my apology.
Like Dave said – lets keep this thread positive and talk about racing – I am looking forward to training better for next year but personally I am setting racing goals for 2009 based on attaining family & business goals over the next 12-18 months.
CrazyCraigMemberI have to go to work tomorrow. Where’s my road bike? 🙄
I am totally in awe of the progression in riding. That is just some unbelievable stuff.
CrazyCraigMemberI don’t know if you have the points right, but I do know based on conversations yesterday that unofficially you have the order correct.
It was a great season! It’s cool that we had 10 or more teams entered this year with 4 of them in the hunt the day of the championship! Good stuff!
CrazyCraigMemberAll I can say is the ProAm was awesome to watch today.
The semis were more hectic than battling taxis in NYC on a Friday afternoon and the main was just as crazy. Unfortunately Mannino and Sullivan got the short end of things in the first turn. Jim Mulhern tried to make a move on Geraldo, but lost momemtum, and Danny Smith snuck on by down the fourth straight with Knapper hot in pursuit. Philly D somehow got it done with a bad foot while Kelty kept him honest. Really really good racing.
Viva la ProAm!

Have fun!
CrazyCraigMemberThe best is the old truck stop gag:
If everyone (or at least the person sitting in the front passenger seat) is asleep (besides you the driver, of course), pull into a rest stop or truck stop and pull right up to the front of an 18 wheeler.
Put it in park, and then let out a blood curdling scream as if you are about to hit head on.
The guy in the passenger seat will pee his pants every time, guaranteed.
I’m sure most of you have done this. Now that I am 40, not sure if its safe anymore, could cause a heart attack.

CrazyCraigMemberDeb, this is not the video you are looking for, but I just came across it. I am sure others have seen this, but first time for me. It shows you just how much fun Scotty has riding. This is some unbelievable stuff.

When I first started doing tricks and jumps, never in my wildest imagination did I think it could progress to what guys like Scotty do today.
