ridinlow–the only thing you can do now is hit the front page and vote for GHP —

After the incident that involved the “team manager” in Pottstown, I don’t think that I would ever want to vote for GHP.

I wasn’t going to dignify any of your comments with a response, especially since you are hiding behind a screen name, but now I will.

    (A) To answer your post in a different thread, yes, I am a “team manager” of a brand new local racing team. I just got back into racing last year and things are different than back in the day. I put an innocent post asking for start times for a race. I tried finding it on the NBL site and couldn’t. I did not have a copy of the NBL mag handy (where I know I would find it) so I just asked my friends on here for a little help.

Now, considering the big deal yer making out of EHT adding a double last minute, I would think you would find this RESPONSIBLE of me to make sure of a race start time. It seems all you like to do is start trouble.

Regarding EHT adding a double last minute, well, I am sure all the serious racers know to check the websites regularly for these things. EHT is not obligated to make a double race, it was a nice bonus that day for those who attended. Yeah, more notice is always nice, but when we cure cancer, then we can make a big deal out of stuff like this.

    (B) There was no incident at Pottstown. There was a late night post here on this site which was primarily good natured back-n-forth between the TMs. So please, if you really care about this sport, grow up and stop trying to pick fights on the school playground, okay?

As always (and I have been guilty of this in the past, too) you don’t know the whole story, so making comments on here without the facts can lead to hurt feelings or making something out of nothing.

If we are all adults here, then before firing a shot at someone in public, how about talking to the person via pm or in person first? That is what a responsible person would do. Otherwise, you are just a trouble maker.

Now, that said, I am guilty of the above as many of us are. We are all a little cranked up these days. But I know for the most part its because we are all PASSIONATE about this sport, so being a little cranked up is not necessarily a bad thing.

Thats my $.03 on the subject.

    Make it a great day!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀

John was behind me in the second moto at last year’s Regional so he witnessed first hand my now legendary RV slam. Maybe after seeing that he chose to pursue something safer. 😀

talk to craig wilson about a GHP— he has another shipment coming– and he is the “OFFICIAL” northeastern supplier for GHP/Atomlab

Thanks Dave – thats correct, our team, GHP Atomlab Northeast is a sponsor of the ProAm, not GHP directly, and we are an official distributor of GHP frames and Atomlab products.

I have Expert, Pro, Pro XL & Pro XXL in stock, red or black. PM or email GHPnortheast@att.net for specs and info. I have Atomlab Aircorp stems (53mm) and will put some packages together with pedals, stem, seatpost, seat & clamp.

I beg to differ about “NO” older riders out there working after racing all day. There was ONE rider out there building that fence that worked that morning before coming to the track, raced and has a family to boot.

I saw ya there Jeff – just with two kids behind me screaming and all, well, you know how it is. When Brett said “riders” my mind automatically thought of the 17-24 dudes. My bad. 😳

Rez, Vinny, Brett and several others, but no older riders.

Dave – maybe we can convince Habitat for Humanity to build a house for you at the track, lol.

Rez tried to enlist me, but understood I had two tired kids on my hands. Where did the “pros” go, they could not have been too tired since they didn’t race, lol. 😀

the little 4yr old was definitely the rider of the day. But, I saw several “walmart” bikes out there, even one with solid cranks. All of them deserve rider of the day!

IMO the race of the day was the 3rd moto of 6 Novice that saw two GHP riders, Gabe Hatem and Jeffrey Eletto going at it side by side until Jeff took a digger. I’m glad Jeffrey was okay. These two put on quite a show!

WE are very proud of ALL the riders that raced yesterday!! 😀

Hey y’all. Good morning. Yes, its 5am.

I just want to say thank you to Linda for coming on this site and talking with us and expressing your opinion. From what I see, not everyone is in total agreement, but we can’t have a true conversation unless everyone involved in NJ BMX throws in.

Linda – you have been around this thing for a long time. I will admit, I was gone from the sport since 1990 before showing up again in 2006. I have alot of respect for you staying with it as long as you have.

I believe alot of the BS that has happened could have been avoided, but Linda, you have to respect this group for what it is. We may not look it, but we are a rebel group. When all our friends were playing baseball or football, all we wanted to do was ride and race our bikes. Now here we all are in, or approaching, our 40’s, and guess what, we’re still rebels. How many 39 old dads do you think there are in my town that will throw down at the local jumps?

That said, yes, we may have approached things wrong at times. And maybe Bob W. would not appreciate all the tactics, but I know he would totally respect the passion.

I have to agree with XmotoXchick that Brett was not getting the respect he deserved at the meeting, but maybe because we all know his passion and maybe the other people there did not. Personally, I want to know why didn’t anyone on the board censor Jeff Morgan? His actions were clearly uncalled for and showed that he may not be right for NJ BMX anymore. His fee may not seem like alot at $250, but I believe $250 can be spent alot better elsewhere, especially when we can get hosting virtually free, etc. But I digress.

Right now it appears we have four passionate TOs. These TOs need help building their respective programs. I know we hear about Foothills BMX in CT pulling big local moto counts, etc, and we need to learn a thing or two from them, but I feel here in NJ the tracks will flourish when EVERYONE involved is passionate about bringing about change, and change that positively influences racing and making the newest BMX family feel like they joined something special. If they come here and feel like they joined a dysfunctional organization, they won’t stick around long.

That’s my 3 cents on the subject. Now where is my coffee?

Uh oh, we’re all starting to agree on something (sort of). The world is coming to an end…
