    I just saw that. He almost got pimped in the second turn and then pulled the extreme inside line through the pro section. Mad skills AND determination.

    Way to go Phil “The Thrill” Delizia!

    So Dan Smith is not the only ladies man at the track! 8)

    See, I’m married with two kids, so if I slip, well, you know, its okay, I guess.

    And Dave, yer typing because yer baby won’t let you sleep, right, right?

    Jim, you know as well as me this is a dead horse that has gotten beaten to death some more. I am just stating my opinion.

    I compare it to motocross because that is where BMX racing first came from. I know, I know, progression has moved us away from MX somewhat, but I guess being a racer going back to ’81, I still feel that way.

    What injury does clipping in help you avoid? Serious, no joking, I am curious.

    MacDaddy- Tommy spent a lot of time at the Dustbowl BITD, and all that dust will affect you after awhile. Let him get a few more races in, hopefully that will clear some of it out, lol.

    But for the record, I’m with Tommy on this one. Flats make for a more interesting race plus, its the only piece of equipment that I know of that people will decide NOT to use due to the fear of injury, so in some ways creates an unfair advantage. I know one of the great things about BMX is you are an individual, but look at Nascar – they all have to run within defined equipment guidelines. Maybe not the best example, but with the new COT car it becomes more about knowing the track and being the better driver. This is racing too, so endorsing a piece of equipment that can’t neccessarily be run by everyone creates an unlevel playing field IMO. I’m not saying every kid has to ride the same bike or weight, but clips should have been outlawed way back as something unfriendly to this sport. You don’t see motocross riders clipped in, do ya? I thought that was our roots, right?

    Okay, the dead horse has been beaten some more.

    Chris, the state races have a mail-in pre-reg form found over in the forums at http://www.njbmx.org/

    I’ll email ya a copy as well. I think the cutoff is Sunday the 1st for the state races in Flemington.

    I guess you have been hearing Starwin at HCBMX alot, huh? That is exactly what I want – if you are thinking about mortgages I want to be the first (and last!) person you think of! (and call!)

    I will leave them nameless, but several folks on here have used my mortgage planning services and seem to be pleased with the results.

    dang Bill, that is hittin it. My record from Parsippany to Charlotte is 9 hours 15 minutes, and that was to the exit for downtown. I made 1 stop in Harrisonburg, VA on the way. Bathroom, Gas & Food all at the station with the DQ. Needless to say the wife was not with me for that trip.

    My son is 6 and yes, I did buy him a complete team uniform even though he doesn’t race. Hindsight 20/20, I should have said if you want the uniform, you have to earn it, but then again, the team is a family effort, and it makes him feel good being a part of it.

    Still, he gets up and practices at every race he goes to with me. He just needs to learn how to ride standing up. He is finally doing it at home on the street, and even has learned to ride off low curbs without falling. But, I have never told him he has to race. He is a little scared because he has seen daddy fall and he has, too.

    That said, this year he played TBall, and I was his manager. He had a lot of fun. My wife has been dancing since she was three, so she put him in dance school and he liked that too. I think we all agree that you need to let your kids try different things, and if it keeps them off the couch, its a good thing.

    we all have our ways of running a team.

    GHP = Greg Hill.

    PBR = watered down beer.

    Tough choice…. 🙄

    Oh darn. Muffy? Skippy? Did you heeeeear that? That Mr. Legend guy rented the flat right next to dear daddy. What are we going to do? Our friends will be aghast. I told daddy to spend the extra million to buy Teddy’s beach house on the dune, but he didn’t listen. What we’ll we do? This is just dreadful, simply dreadful.
