GOD….. like they need any more riders! You guys have like half the racers in Jersey on your roster.
We never set out to do that, but yeah, it looks like it, doesn’t it?
Its just that we have a lot of families on the team:
3 Hamblins
2 Matos
3 Godinos
2 Vliets
2 Whileys
Hatem & Wittig are cousinsAnd up in CT we have 2 Kuehns and their cousin & 2 Therriaults.
I think we have 27 racers on the team, but rarely do the “more seasoned” riders appear on team sheets. Its the little dudes that get it done!
When you back out our PA, CT & NY riders, we only have 17 NJ riders, and 11 of them come from 5 families. So no, we do not have half the state.

You know I’ll hook ya up bro! (unless you want to pay $325 retail off of Greg’s site)
CrazyCraigMemberY’know, I was just coming over here to post the same thread.

I decided to go with GHP.
Dang, he stole my thunder.
But more than just riding a GHP, we are very proud to announce that Jim Mulhern is now a member of GHP Northeast! Welcome aboard Jim!!!
CrazyCraigMemberDitto what Chris just said. The BMX family is here and ready to help!
CrazyCraigMemberPushed 3 cars will count as long as you only gave 50% on your first push, 75% on the second…lol
CrazyCraigMember…getting back on topic…
In my last post I mentioned “rippin” out some sprints. After this past weekend, I find that “rippin” was an appropriate word because I was trying to “rip” my crank off on the first pedal. Not good. Luckily we are back on track now
For those of you still sore after this weekend, if you were like me, you completely did nothing yesterday, pretty much because you couldn’t. Today I was still plenty sore in the thighs, but did my 15 minutes of stretching and it actually made me feel better, and I am walking a little better now, too.
As per our after clinic session, I plan on getting in a nice ride tonight, but strictly for recovery purposes, no sprints, etc. Tomorrow we get on it as per the plan. Might even get down to Flemington tomorrow night.
Last year this thread trailed off, this year lets keep it going!
CrazyCraigMemberI am glad that I got to know Vic and his family this past year and will miss seeing him at the track. Last year at the Grands he was helping at the finish line on Sunday and greeted me with a high-five each time I crossed the finish line through out the elimination rounds.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Behm family.

CrazyCraigMember…and Dave, yes, I did have a frosty beverage afterwards to celebrate surviving the weekend. 8)
CrazyCraigMemberNothing to write about????
I just spent two days getting my a$$ kicked by Greg Hill. Yet, I’m smiling. I can barely walk, yet I’m happy. Farside must have put Prozac in the burgers.
No joke folks – we are talking two very awesome days of BMX learning and we had alot of fun.
Now, can someone help me get up? 🙁
CrazyCraigMemberLast year I was only able to attend day 1, but this year I made both days. Right now I can barely walk (no joke).
Thank you Rich for setting this up, providing food, etc. Thankyou Greg for an amazing weekend. For those of you that were there, the trick now is moving forward and staying on plan.
See y’all in Pottstown!
CrazyCraigMemberI’ll be hanging with Greg Hill this weekend in South Jersey.
CrazyCraigMemberAre you talkin to me? Nah, you can’t be talkin to me. 😈
CrazyCraigMemberRodney, believe it or not, more tracks are needed if we are going to increase the number of racers in NJ. But, they dont need to be sanctioned tracks, just having a bunch of practice tracks like Lumberton would be a good deal, and from there you lead them to the “race tracks”.
Remember, we are up against Nintendo, XBox, soccer, baseball, football, etc. In 1982 I could hop on my bike and ride from Morristown to BELLEVILLE to go to Scavones without any issue but most parents today wont let their kids out of the neighborhood on their bike. Its not easy getting newbies to drive an hour or more to race unless they have had some good exposure first. Yes, the local tracks need to get the word out in their geographic. But if I do a demo in Parsippany, chances are most parents will say they have better things to do then drive to Flemington. But, tell them there is a track in Jefferson, thats different. Better chance they’ll go.
A friend is running to get back on our town council. He is very pro-kids. He should make it back on, and then I will try to work through him in my area for a practice track. I think that is the true ticket to getting more racers in NJ. We need 100 practice tracks around the state!
CrazyCraigMembersomeone needs to report on track conditions – that was one heckuva rainstorm this morning!
