yes, today was very good. Everyone on GHP Northeast had a great time and went out and rode their best. I am very proud of them.

I finally felt like I did some solid racing in what was a very stacked 35x class (3 racks – semis). Unfortunately I did not put my best race together in the semi and found myself sitting on the sideline for the main. Okay, so I had Farside, Gustafson, Gagnon, Meaker & McMurray in my semi, but I know I could have raced better and been in a position to make a move. Time to go out and do more sprints!

I personally met Clint (Airport FF) today and we talked about the new track in North Jersey. Lots of good stuff going on.

And Ant is right, what an amazing race between Delizia & Upshaw. It looked like Upshaw would walk away with it, but Phil tracked him down and made a phenomenal move in the last turn to win it all. It was THE race of the day, as the Pro main should be.

I will not be back tomorrow, but am looking forward to seeing everyone at CJ for the state races!

    Mike,

I still recommend you wear forearm protection, and maybe consider one of the various chest protectors with shoulder guards if you are just coming back. Get some knee/shin protectors, too. I have two pairs of both, one are Troy Lee’s and the other Answer. The Answer are heavier plastic, but a little stiffer, but I barely notice when I ride.

Another device is the 661 Pressure suit, it has forearm and shoulder protection, chest plate and pad (the plastic plate is removable) and also has a removable spine protector. I have ridden with one of these, and its fairly flexible and you feel alot more secure.

At your size, you’d probably use a large, unless you are stocky and broad shouldered, then maybe an XXL. I have a brand new XXL that I used once, but I am not very broad shouldered, so its a tad big on me. I will be at CJBMX for the upcoming state races, I’ll bring it with me. Ask around for Crazy Craig, everyone knows me so I am not hard to find.

If you want to check out protective gear, go to http://www.answerracing.com

They are a co-sponsor of my team, and if you see something you like, call me, I can get anything from their site discounted.

I have not been coming out for locals much this year, sorry about that, but if I want to race the State Champ race, I guess I gotta get on my horse. Sundays are always tough for me, so I am not at CJ much, but hope to maybe do a few Flemington – Pottstown “doubles” to make up some ground.

    Welcome back!

Thats because she is on the metric system – she figures that way at least it sounds bigger than it really is, lol!

Man, I’m gonna get in trouble for this, aint I? 😈

Well, at least we are in the right section for a change.

But Tim, wow, after reading the original post in this thread, its like you haven’t set foot out side your house much in the last 10 years, have you? But, since Ant is about as black as Lionel Ritchie, I guess yiou didn’t think you’d offend anyone here, huh? lol

Man, we gotta go recruit some new racers from Philly, and then show them a copy of your post just before they line up on the gate with you! 👿

Or did Bush’s staff leave him? Never know in those kind of relationships, lol.

Now, we all know who was on Clinton’s staff, and it sure wasn’t Hilliary!

did stretching, a 10 minute warm up ride and then 15 sprints this morning before the wife asked me to help get the kids ready for church. Though normally I would keep separate, I will do vert leaps and crunches later.

I have been doing a full stretching routine everyday except yesterday. Did 30 slightly downhill sprints Wednesday night in the Foodtown parking lot, and that is after a 10 minute warm up and then on the way home had fun hitting all the curb & driveway jumps in town as well as working on manualling. About 1.25 miles each way.

Took a nice ride to the store for the wife last night. Just under 2 miles round trip, but I hammered it and worked up a good sweat, especially on the small uphill home.
