It takes 3 qualifiers and 10 locals to race the Championship in class for a plate. We will count your BEST 5 qualifiers. So come on out get in that last qualifier to max out your points or to qualify.
Everyone not qualified for the Championship is still eligible to race, but in opens only.
The Champioship race is October 6th at Hunterdon County BMX in Flemington, NJ.
bmxmom156Memberif you have a sponsor sheet or anything outlining what the details are for sponsoring the series(is it the whole series or just certain races, etc) can you bring that too? would like to have somethng on paper to show..
thanks
bmxmom156Memberthats why i asked..wonder if there is a good meal replacement shake that is bmx friendly? in other words not a large volume to consume before a race but concentrated and easily digestable with vitamins already in it… the boost/ensure hi pro shakes have carbs/ protein but they are hi fat therefore take a long time to move thru the digestive system…
anyone try any others? i have asked a few nutrition ppl and most only can suggest things that are not sprint-short term related cycling… not many are versed in this..too bad there isnt a site specifically set up for bmx racing..i know individ trainers have their own thng but for the gen bmx population the average rider is prob not eating correctly on race day.. (french fries after racing is prob not the best either for recovery reasons…lol…)
kudos to the tracks that offer some healty alternative ie fruit etc for riders. when we run our concessoin at our hs booster club during tournaments we try to get apples/ banannas/ clementines easy for them to grab and go after a weigh in or betw matches… along with the normal candy junk food the parents love…..
there has to be somoene in nj who is versed in this sort of thing..?
bmxmom156Memberis there going to be a raffle again?
thats really nice the sponsors contrib to this…i am looking into getting one more for next yr…shhhhhhh top secret!
bmxmom156Memberhey give the man some credit he had to race an 8 man gate in the 17-24x moto last weekend with those guys…takes alot of guts!
bmxmom156Memberi just remembered this yr for the michigan world championship qualifier(national) the nbl gave all aba riders a free nbl one year membership so they can race that weekend and thus qualify for the worlds…
there has to be some aba “paperwork” that can be used that does the same thing i woudl think??
just a thought
bmxmom156Memberthanks for checking..someo riders dont have a current aba license and im sur you would get a much better turn out if there could be a one day/ trial for any nbl rider who wants to check it out. if they have to pay for a licence (be it trial$30 if thats what it is) then pay for the race fee on top of it you wont have many takers..jmo
back when we had the “clash” race ( aba/nbl series) there was some sort of “agreement” with the 2 tracks for both sanctions where the riders didnt have to buy a full license..i dont remember exactly but i know dave was very helpful getting us nblers over to check it out. i think we brought at least 4-5 team members at the time who never rode aba before ..it was neat..
also what about those who had an aba license at one time and do not currently have one? would they have to renew to do the race?
just trying to figure out all the possible options..
what a great idea for a send off…
bmxmom156Memberant please say you dont really watch that stuff??
🙄i thought you were a ufc kind of guy.. you gotta get with the times, sir…
bmxmom156Memberi spoke to colins mom a few weeks ago she said he is doing quite well at it… he can be seen at tic also
bmxmom156Memberridin low i would suggest you not make an opinion on something you know absolutely nothing about.
believe me you are WAY out of line on this one.
bmxmom156Memberso do you have a license, ridinlow? since that card means so much to you what “title” did you check off when sending in your renewal this yr?
bmxmom156Memberriding low quote ( sorry i dont know how to do the copy thing): “dont you think that there would be more power in numbers?”
that may be where alot of the problem lies… “power” it seems as though some may think this is the ultimate goal. its not about power and who has it . it sounds as though ridemlow is suggesting get all your friends in a position of “power” (i guess that means having an officials license) then you can take over or vote whoever in or out? is thats what its all about??its about doing the right thing for the riders. i think thats all everyone wants in the long run.
