i already did that. we had a conversation regarding this breifly at woodward. he agrees. its definitely not condusive for growing the sport..

we have a new track field director justin travis and from what i hear he is very interested in checking into tracks, grassroots progress and or riders and parents concerns(being he is a rider)

taht may be a good starting point.

i can vouge for why some are reluctant to speak their mind at these meetings. even at a small track meeting if you speak your mind or ask a simple question you risk getting screamed and cursed at and belittled and quite frankly its embarrassing and shows a total lack of respect. adults acting like this…boy its surely not a selling point for recruiting new volunteers…unless you dont want anyone new, maybe thats the way to keep ppl at arms length??

who in their right mind would want to open their mouth after this? personally i had this happen to me not once twice and for whateaver reason some ppl think this is totally acceptable adult behavior.. i brought this up to someone recently and it was blown off like its no big deal.

if it was in a reg business meeting someone would have been dismissed.

something has to be done. i dont know what exactly that is but a code of conduct for everyone ( including track officials) may be a good starting point.

i did hear him announce there would be a BAND at an upcoming race..seems strange they are ok to host a band playing but not the pa system…..

different excuses depending on who you talk to

it ALL comes down to credibility when you think about it

this race is going to be run on sat night? what is going on sat during the day? i was under the impression it was an all day race-fest…lol

can you post the official events of the day? thanks…

what ever happened to the inquiry into weather nbl riders had to buy an aba licence for this race? is there any allowance for that? in other words is it required to hold an aba licence to run the pro/am open? thanks kevin for the info…

yes that would be great…since you know the pa system and then we can be assured it will be used properly… its a shame that someone makes a donation such as this and others look a gift horse in the mouth..by not using it… you are a great announcer and make the race more exciting for sure….

you can then decide to “retire” once the state season is over…

i like lorens idea sounds good to me

the riders are going to the tracks they feel comfortable at, where they can get a class or race an open whatever their goal is…
