Rich: Would you be interested in helping to organize it and maybe round up some sponsors? We will need to present to the board at our next meeting.
bmxgirlmomMemberI think there would be some interest in it. Hopefully it would pull riders to all three tracks for the weekends that had the races.
6 races would probably be the best number, 2 at each, with a required 1 at each to race the final. Might be able to tie at least 3 of them in with the qualifiers, then have the others on unrelated weekends to keep the traffic flowing to the tracks.
Let me know what you all think, and we can discuss it at the board meetings. Try to get it all set up before next season starts.
We’ll need sponsors to do the kind of money they are talking about % of pot + $250.00. Plus hole shot money.bmxgirlmomMemberAre you on both lists? If so, here’s why. The computer points program will pick up your extra qualifiers as local races to make you qualified.
NJ has always used the extra qualifiers that you race as locals to make it possible for you to qualify. Nothing new, it’s in the rules and has always been that way. Most other states do the same thing. We all want every rider possible who wants to race the Championship to be able to do just that.
The human element (namely me) looks at every rider and counts their locals, and their state qualifiers, and lists who is short regular locals. So, that’s the explanation as to how you can be on the qualified and un-qualified list.
bmxgirlmomMemberHey guys. In my haste to post the shortage list, I forgot a page of riders. I have corrected it over on the forum, and have emailed Brett to correct his posting.
Sorry bout that! 😳bmxgirlmomMemberHere is the list of riders from the USA who registered to race. It does not mean that all of them will be there, but at the time of registration they had intentions of going. Those in BOLD are from NJ. If there are others, forgive me for missing them.

Remember UCI covers all Cycling sports world wide, so lots of content.
Plus if you don’t choose English, you’re navigating in French 😯bmxgirlmomMemberJuly 27th-29th. 2007 Canada

bmxgirlmomMemberGo to the UCI site. There is a link on the NBL site to it. The UCI site is hard to navigate, but if you keep plugging away you’ll find it.
bmxgirlmomMemberThis is Kelly, Dean’s (the injured guy’s wife. He broke his collar
bone, we assume from the initial fall on the track and he has a slight
concusion from the passing out. But he is doing better today, alot of
pain but home and well.We would like to thank everyone for all their help with Dean and our
kids. It was helpful to have so many considerate and caring people
around when we were in a strange town (we live in Staten Island)Thanks again and maybe we will see some of you this weekend, where our
boys can race.Kelly, Dean & kids
bmxgirlmomMemberBrett: I’ll work on it. Give me till tonight.
As far as the pictures. Central Jersey has several pictures hanging in the registration building (where I was this weekend) of some of our past PCs. Guess there are 4 or 5.bmxgirlmomMemberWe’ve finished as high as 2nd and as low as 16th (2005). Usually in the top 5.
Had as many as 194 + riders from NJ show up and as few as 19.Almost the entire Northern tier of states boycotted the 2 years it was in Florida.
Not sure what else I can tell you about NJ without specific questions.
bmxgirlmomMemberNo further information. Wish I knew too.
bmxgirlmomMemberIt was a dad that raced about 10 years ago. Came down tonight signed up himself and his 2 sons (8 & 10). He fell in his first moto, but got right back up and finished. Went up to the starting hill to help his 8 year old (first time racer) and collapsed from the heat and dehydration. Was unconscious for a short time. Chris Vliet is an EMT and was able to stabilize him till the ambulance got there. Poor 8 year old never got to race as they all went to the hospital. They’re from Staten Island.
bmxgirlmomMemberYup, we raced! Had a 30+ Dad go down for the count on the starting hill. Ambulance called. Not a pretty scene, but hey we didn’t cancel because of the heat. 😛
