I think if you are 16 or over you should come on out to state meetings.

    Otherwise…chill and ride your bike…. —

Let’s hope all future state meetings hold the decorum that we have been experiencing of late regardless as to whether people have conflicting idealogies.

Looks like the bmxmoms win the prize for showing everyone it’s all there ready to do.

All ya need is some people to run it and promote it.

Utilize the tools you have, seems easy enough.

Here is an idea to help with the money thing:

16 over open can race open for full price, discount to race class as well. Since the open money goes to the purse.

15 under opens race class for full price, discount to race open as well. Since the class money goes to year end awards. Prizes for opens can be donated stuff from businesses that the parents got to donate.

Older riders are not as concerned with state plates but that will keep them into the series.

Younger riders who are more into the plates and the like will get the price break to encourage them to race in a class with “more riders” to teach them how to race full gates.

    Bend.

No one is saying you can’t do it.

No one is saying you can’t do it.

No one is saying you can’t do it.

    Hello? Is this thing on?

I don’t see too many responses to the official thread up there with people stating, YEA I’M DOWN!…well besides phantom.
    So….
    PROPS to phantom!

Are there parents out there that would be up for this responsibility?

No one is saying you can’t do it.
But someone needs to run it.
The state organization is designed to run a state series, they are being good enough to see the benefit in other people having “fun things to do” to promote people coming to the state series….
But I and no one else should, expect them to run anything other than the state series.

We are on the right path to promote BMX in NJ.
    No one else is.

      1. Trees around the staging area for shade.
      2. A decent lighting system for night racing and practice.
      3. On the same poles a decent PA system or one like the state uses which cost approx. $1,700.
      4. A dual drop gate aba and nbl style for practice purposes.
      5. A concession stand for putting money into the track, much like CJ does.
      6. Get Glen Knapper to help show you how to soiltac the track, obviously he has it down to a science.
      7. A beginner to intermediate level style track because that is a local tracks rider base and will help to grow your LOCAL PROGRAM.
      8. A small area off the side with some jumps to let the riders have something to warm up on, a little jumpy flow section.
      9. An announcer tower where you can see the whole track.

Most important of all though and this is the toughest one…volunteers who put BMX first, their egos second and truly understand all aspects of the sport.

    Piece of cake.

Im thinking a starting hill twice the height then anything in the state now.

im thinking the 1st part of the 1st straight go a good 6 feet below ground level (gotta think about drainage) with bleachers on both sides of the track at that location to coming up out to a huge step up that can launch you into something…not sure what yet.

but also designed so that little rockets can get through it also.

I’ll have a big cup of sarcasm Bob, with a side order of “does anyone get it?”
