bmiddaughMember
Track reps.
I shall post who they are for CJ on the site this weekend, after I ask Vinny.
(I think it’s Vinny and Resz with Dale as an alternate..not sure though)bmiddaughMemberbrokenspokes.net volunteers webspace and whatever else is necessary to help Lee and Ant get the jerseys going.
In the best interest of BMX racing in NJ.bmiddaughMemberLee,
Ant.
Ant,
Lee.Now get to work, see everyone on the 15th.
I know someone who will help us as long as it’s what the riders want.I was also supposed to be on many committees this past year, in a promotional capacity but that got nixed at the tail end of the january meeting. It was only through Vinny that I was able to salvage the promotional material and the website, well, I have things ready to get njbmx a site as long as everyone can agree on a name. I only would ask that the riders have control of it.
I can assure you that the awards for this year, plates and other things are being taken care of as I am in direct contact with the person in charge of that. I apologize for no promotions of what is being done…but I don’t have an official place to put things.
I would have helped promote pres cup doings but….yadda yadda, see above.
Also, it should be known that at the jan meeting, Rich, and myself were thrown under the bus for the pres cup committee, but after reviewing the minutes of the previous years meetings about the pres cup, that I have a hard copy of, it was shown that Rich, myself, Phil and Dale volunteered to DESIGN the pres cup jersey, not head the committee nor book rooms or figure out how to give out jerseys. Nor was any of this explained at any time to anyone.
Be that as it may….
Any “throwing under the bus” will no longer be tolerated.
Meetings more than once or twice a year are needed as I have stated many times.
I tire of stating the same obvious things repeatedly and I don’t mean tired I’m gonna quit, I mean tired as in I’m not gonna be Mr. Nice and take it in the arse Brett at meetings anymore.
The sept meeting shall begat an oct meeting and that shall begat a november meeting.
Or what the heck are we doing this for?bmiddaughMemberI raced last year, and I ride and stuff but I had to chill this year. The mind was elsewhere.
I’ll be futzing about next year and I’ll be at Incline over the winter, as well as the ramppark comps riding.
I had a big project to do this year. Now, if you want to ask me if I race well…
then the answer is
no.bmiddaughMemberI have no officials license.
So, sorry, but I can’t
I know an excellent candidate who has connections and sure fire drive for the sport and has an officials license for 3 years. But I will not say anything yet.I will refocus on NJBMX when everyone realizes how to work together, certain people are not involved or my girlfriend gets an apology.
bmiddaughMemberlol…ok,
wow, you are actually almost the same driving time to all 3 tracks….
so you are actually a prety centrally located track…though you arent in nj…
I gotta do even more investigation into your track now…
😆
A meeting at every state race would be the way to do it….plus some winter stuff.Lets take a look….

bmiddaughMembernever man, as long as I live I’m gonna keep trying for something.
Imagine what we could build today with the ramp building knowledge we have…
insurance though…bmiddaughMemberramppark muh man?
ah…how about if we had the armory back like in the 80’s..
—bmiddaughMemberSpeaking of throwing rational thought out the window. I was discussing where to have meetings one time with someone and I mentioned that it sorta just makes sense to have them either at Incline or someplace close to that area in Central NJ…
because…
well…
if you look at NJ and see where the center of it is on a map, well, you are pretty smart guys and gals you can figure it out.
The person I was b.s.ing with said, well yea, CJ is central to you…but not to them…
I said to myself huh?
CJ is close to me, but if I lived in let’s say NNJ or SNJ, I’d rather travel to someplace central to all and convenient to a few than all the way north or all the way south so that it is convenient to a few and completely inconveniant for everyone else.Look, here’s the bottom f-ing line.
We have right now, a bunch of people who work well together and want to meet up, b.s. and get things done.
When they aren’t together, things don’t move as fast.
A state organization filled with people who are just dying to get together and meet face to face has got to be better than a state organization who are like, here go do this while we hang back and meet on occasion to see what you are doing.Like, I’m really tired of having to repeat the freaking obvious.
The status quo of doing things does not work well.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result.
WELL……………..
I have more to add to this but I think I’ll wait till tonight.bmiddaughMemberhmmm, apparently after the next state qualifier at EHT.
interesting note put up on the njbmx.org forum along with that, stating that committees can meet or discuss their duties at anytime. I would take this to mean those who are working on pres cup and year end awards to do their work when they can meet together.
It has been my experience in the workplace as well as life that things run more smoothly in an organization when regularly scheduled meetings take place so that people can readily meet face to face.
Ideally these should be after day 1 of each state qualifier.
This idea was brought up last year in jan and squelched.
It is obvious that committees should meet along with members of the board at state meetings, so that it would facilitate a more cooperative nature of working together.
Perhaps this winter we can move forward on putting together more meetings than 2-3 a year, which of course is much better than it was…bmiddaughMemberSarcasm aside.
I’ll put this on the frontpage tonight so everyone can see what is trying to be started here by Rob.
When I can focus more next year, I’ll help get this rolling even harder.
Dave…no BMX after Oct 31st? What up?bmiddaughMemberfull face is a definate for next year. It’s not big deal though I rocked a Premiere helment BITD and always jonezed for a Bell Moto III, anyone remember those?
bmiddaughMemberDave, WTF is up with that?
I dunno man, that doesn’t seem like something you would say to a guy who supports BMX and freaking rides.
2 not cool points.bmiddaughMemberI can imagine…
🙄bmiddaughMemberdyfus…
here’s a thought…
Jesse brought it up on another site…..
What would something like…dyfus.. say if you , well, let’s say…took a small child,
attached their feet to the pedals of their bicycle,
put them on a rather large hill,
and let them go down it as fast as possible,
with a jump at the bottom of the hill that was bigger than they are,
Knowing that the childs feet where not easily releasable from the pedals…I think that is the BMX “Thought of the day”.
