bmiddaughMember*ability to order products like posters, mugs, shirts etc from the pictures at the website with proceeds to go to CJ
bmiddaughMemberok, so let me start getting a list here:
*Pictures
*video or panorama of the track layout
*map-directions
*area info i.e.: hotels, food, entertainment, etc.
*easy contact info
*schedule, should be able to click a link and print it
*new rider-parent section
*easy to see race on or off section on front page
*rss feeds to BMX sites
*links to pertanent BMX sites
*rider of the week-month…not sure how to do that with impunity
*point standings and results (this will be dependant on the nbl getting their software act together, there will be a place for it but until it is easily updatable…)I will also be adding a new feature or two:
*website registration so you can automatically be on the mailing list and it will make it easier to do mass emails to everyone.
*allowing other people the ability to upload thier pictures to share on the CJ site, when they become members
*been mulling over the idea of putting up the concession stand menu, lol.
*possible CJ members only forum. to be part of that forum you would need to fill out a form at the track to be on it.bmiddaughMemberLee, I need all sorts of help… but be that as it may.. —
I’ve got you in enough doo doo busting up the new NJBMX site, so’s I’ll flounder out here for awhile, LOL

He should know some realtors.October 25, 2007 at 1:06 pm in reply to: Maximum amount of qualifiers, locals and points for state #51652bmiddaughMemberThe problem that you have in this day and age is that there is not enough riders to support the multitude of classes that they have at the local level.
It is in effect, pardon the word, stupid.
To make racing more of what it should be, you have to have less proficiency levels, and put the kids together in age brackets to begin with.
i.e.:
6 under nov
6 under ex
7-9 nov
7-9 ex
10-12 nov
10-12 ex
13-15 nov
13-15 ex
16-18 nov
16-18 ex…
etc.If you have 35+ classes and at most 70 riders per race….
well…what is the point of racing?Barring my class idea, I would do the following if I were in charge…so if anyone ever thinks “hey Brett should be in charge” you might wanna sit down.
* 4 tracks, each track hosts one qualifier
* A rider must race 3 qualifiers, those 3 count towards your standing.
* You do not have to race locals to get a state plate, it is up to individual tracks to get their rider counts up. Get to work, it’s a business.
* Single points for each qualifier.
* Triple points for the final.
* You are pointed as you finish.
* If you are combined with another class you still get pointed as per your proficiency.
i.e.:
1st nov 1st place nov points
2nd ex 2nd place ex points
3rd nov 3rd place nov pointsIt’s time for everyone to grow up and realize that, yes, in life, sometimes you lose.
BMX racing is the sport you get when you leave the parents completely in control of something that they have never done. Sorry if that sounds harsh but it is true.
Remember what I talked about a couple years ago, “my child syndrome”. What’s best for one’s person child, no, it’s what’s best for all.October 25, 2007 at 1:06 am in reply to: Maximum amount of qualifiers, locals and points for state #51629bmiddaughMember< knows better than to argue with moms.

October 25, 2007 at 12:39 am in reply to: Maximum amount of qualifiers, locals and points for state #51622bmiddaughMemberLet’s not have the board walk all over us and disregard our ideas.
Ah, I have been waiting to make this point after I saw something at a job I went to do this week.
Had to stop at a police department to get taken to a location that we had to program for beacons that are for ped crosswalks, (yes believe it or not I get access to many NJ police departments due to the nature of the business I work for) anyway on the wall in the P.D. is an organizational flow chart for the town. It showed how the power flowed in a democratic society.
You had the town committees, council, mayor, P.D… etc.
Who was at the top of the food chain?
THE VOTERS.Since the nbl operates as a sort of “BMX democracy”, it would seem that the top of the food chain is not, the board, it should be…
The riders and their parents (see I included you guys and gals, I must be loosening up, LOL)There will no longer be any tossing to the side.
Proposal.
Vote.
Democracy. -
