state clerk could check with the nbl office to see if an exception can be made

If rules are absolute there can be no justice.

I personally do not need to “check with the nbl office” to determine where my loyalties lie.

Remember january’s meeting last year when I asked everyone to consider “what is best for all of BMX”. This type of situation falls under that heading.

If a rider qualifies for the Championship and is unable to race it due to illness, injury or other valid absence

duh. …um no dis to you mod 1
That doesn’t apply. He was there.

He was there, paid the money, got hurt and was denied.

If a rule is absolute there can be no justice.
You can quote me on that.

Is there actually a rule for this in the state series

It’s time for the people who actually race to make the rules.

    Ok, so he paid.
    Got hurt.
    Couldn’t race.
So you aren’t allowed a refund if you get hurt?
And you can’t get a plate?
    I don’t get it.

How would the national nbl organization handle a pro showing up at the grands, getting hurt at practice and having points higher than pros who actuallly raced?
I will adjust the results according to those rules.

I would settle for having the ability to smile and be acceptive of new ideas that will help the sport.
I would say though that the requirements for state commissioner and asst state commissioner should be changed or amended. Which was discussed and shelved this year.

And I say we include ALL tracks.

Bring this proposal to the table as it makes sense. I will personally back you.

I have just been informed that there was more than one rider this happened to.
Apparently and this is what I have heard, the original “qualified riders list” stated this kid had 7 locals in, he pushed to get a double header in and get his locals and at the championship was told he only had 9.
What’s worse is this kids whole goal for the year was just to get qualified to race the President’s Cup.
…oh well, better luck next year?
