The tracks do get a percentage, and it’s more for a regional. Would someone care to post what these breakdowns are?
Does everyone here know that a non-profit organization is supposed to make publicly known it’s tax returns every year?

I’m going to put all this on the front page of the site…and a little extra.
There will also be the date for our first impromptu meeting.

Bill and I are the only ones to comment on this?
THERE ARE KIDS WHO ARE NOT RACING BECAUSE OF THIS!
Where is that “it’s for the kids” attitude?
Ya know what it’s not for the kids..
It’s about BMX racing and this is not inducive to evolving our sport.

Apparently there is someone very close to NJBMX who was willing to give away a web base software package that would have been killer, several years ago, but the NBL nixed it.
I’m sorry, and this is not meant to dig into everyone involved in NJBMX, but the NBL has been lagging and apparently still lags even though people are willing to give them what they need. (and I learned this weekend that someone in NJ gives them a lot, whew man…)
Bugs? So it takes 15 years after windows comes out to get a program that almost works.
They listen to no one but themselves, and anything that does not evolve and adapt dies.
Please tell me that they are at the very least, going to give this software to the tracks.
And why do I have a sneaking suspicion that the USPS will still be happy with this software package.
I feel bad coming on here and making it seem like I’m dissing Janeen, but that’s not my intent. Why do we allow ourselves to be held under the thumb of an organization like this?
One of our own in NJBMX was going to hook the NBL up with what they needed years ago, one of our own…and they wouldn’t have it, this drives me nuts..

    Ok, that makes sense.
I’m not even sure that most new people that have gotten into this even know about the reimbursement deal.
I think the hoodies are killer and wouldn’t want to give that up for the riders.
Can you post all the details for the pres cup thing. It’s obvious I didn’t get the gist of everything, maybe I can put something up about it and make a big deal out of it.
    Somebodies gotta beat Fl someday…

Man, that is what always sucked about freestyle….
Remember when we had parents judging who had no clue?
Then we tried riders judging…got the buddy system going on (my buddy wins)
How to do impartial judging is a beotch in freestyle…maybe that’s where some older old school (but not stuck in the old school) guys might come in handy.
Then again, how do you judge modern flatland when everything looks the damn same. Spin in tight circles on either your front or back wheel…and think that The K actually didn’t make up you trick…lol.
Flatland guys stress on that whole “don’t bite my trick” thing too much.
You don’t see ramp guys screaming, “I invented the flip whip, you can’t do that in your run otherwise you’re an unoriginal a**”

We’re going to put an article in the next BMX Today (the nbl propoganda mag) about the race, so I may be a little late on posting the pics and words on this weekends jam, but I’m gonna try and get it going by midweek. I got plenty of cool shots and some great words for the CJBMX vid.

NBL, why a 5 year contract…that you have to renew every year?

    Cool, once again, thanks Janeen.

pj as you can see that’s the problem, it’s a very old dos program that could be done in an excel spreadsheet. It’s just for the track.
I’ll send you can outline of what needs to be done.
LOL…the NBL still requires us to SNAIL MAIL the results….
and you should see the antiquated dos system that we use for the NBL program, oh man….it’s a joke! I feel sorry for our scoring women, which includes the above mentioned lady.

As I’ve said before though, everytime there’s been a problem or question, Janeen jumps right on it…and I’ll be honest, that’s why I put the post here, because I knew once you saw it, we’d get action.

Not to be an a** but I think Lisa already asked him personally a couple times….
But….the cause of the situation is not as important as the situation itself.
So if someone could remind Les, it’d be real cool.

i gotta fix the emoticons, lol…
it needs to break down according to rider and class + 10 “participation points”
    So it’s have to be
Rider name in one cell 1st in expert (value=whatever)+10 for the next cell

and it would have to know what all the values were using conditions..
    say
    1c(ruiser) = 100 points
    2 x(pert) = 120 points
then add them up across everyone and give the top twenty overall

Which debunks the “BMX is for little kids” mindset.
I looked online for software but I must be using a bad search text string ’cause I can’t find jack….
If I knew how to use excel formulas, I could do it myself, but alas, I lack those skills….
Does anyone on here know excel enough to make a basic points tracking spread sheet?

2 racing stops on the Dew Tour this year is what I hear on the grapevine.
isn’t it wierd how racing lags behind freestyle in coverage, but yet racing came first….
I blame the sanctions, sorry, thats my thing, they are in the way, they’ve lost focus. Every big race has to go through aba, or nbl, uci…it’s not working to get us the eyeballs we need.
Anyway…I hope we do more than just vent here, we need to start making a difference.
All of us, T.O.’s, riders, racers…we sit here and grumble and yet don’t have the goombas to get together and do something…
    We gotta change that.
