If you need more answers just respond to that post, and I’ll answer em there. Also if it’s ok to use the photos you post elsewhere on the site, it would be cool if everyone just put a “ok to copy” thing next to their pictures.

Might be cool if we did an “old school pic of the week” and a “new school pic of the week” up on the front page of the site.

lol, I’ve just been around a long time.
All the names on Mark’s list were good guys and gals BITD and repped BMX like crazy, it’s no surprise that it got so huge with those guys out there.
Rich was one of the few guys from NJ to put the smackdown on the “big names” BITD, like Ellis, Loncarevich, Marietta, Charlie Williams, etc.
Being middle aged now and looking back it sorta becomes clear that even though we were all at different skill levels at that time, we were all on the same page as far as pushing BMX.
I wish I could get all those names on that list back together and have them running some tracks and events, yep, I’ll be honest, I sure wish I could.

when i get done, and this doesn’t mean right this minute, but when i get done, riders will have places to go in the winter to do what they need to do, race, ride, park, chill, eat pizza…

and for the older guys perhaps a min-bar, lol

It’s very simple to apply for grant money but first you need to have a 501c3 to use it….
unless someone has already donated money to you for a purpose, at which point you want to start up a 501c3 so you don’t lose a large percentage to taxes.

If I didn’t have a ton of exercise equipment in the basement, there’d be about a 14 x40 flatland area.
It’s a small house, only like 1400 sq feet not counting the basement.

The “how to promote BMX thing” though has been done to death.
The way I do it is I tell them…

It’s BETTER than football, baseball, soccer, yadda yadda yadda, or it takes more skill…
If that hurts feelings so be it.

I think I emailed him once or twice, but I’m not sure if I sent him an interview. I’ll check to see if I still have his email and hit him up…anything you can say to him would be cool as well to get the ball rolling…
