I am absolutely interested in the source. And the analytical data if available.
I did environmental construction for years before the fire service. The company I worked for (J. Fletcher Creamer in Hackensack) did cleanup work all over Jersey.
Any fill material or topsoil type of covering has to be certified clean material by a lab.
Some time ago the town that Matt lives in was filling an area for a playground. I questioned the source of the fill and got no answers. I grabbed six random sample and sent them to the lab we used at work and they found asbestos, benzene, and chromium in it.
It was considered suitable fill material for some type of construction (brownfield re-development). But not for the use that they were using it for.AirportFFMember@oobaa47 wrote:
This is great news for north jersey!!! Does anyone have a time table? Or what about what sanction it will be? All info greatly appreciated!!!!
It won’t be happening for this season more than likely. It will probably end up being NBL.
AirportFFMemberGood news. The MRI showed no ligament damage. Just a bruise on the outside of his right knee. They told him to keep icing it over the weekend and we’ll have him back there on Monday for a re-eval.
AirportFFMemberI was talking to Joey Albright yesterday and asked what the deal was. It’s like Bill said. Kuwahara dropped him from the “factory” team until his contract can be renegotiated. But to keep him on a Kuwa, he was signed to Excaliber.
Also, it’s official. The Kingston Point track in NY is now an NBL facility. It will undergo a complete rebuild in mid April, with a permanant pro section. Open house is May 4th
Also have a little more news on the new NJ track that will actually be in NY. When it firms up I’ll post it.
AirportFFMemberMatt didn’t make the cut yesterday
But today he made his first 15 ex main. (yesterday was his birthday) Not bad considering it was only his second big event in the class. He finished last, but he was in the show!! I’m d@mn proud of him for that alone. ๐

Matt has a little mission to accomplish in NY this year. He WILL get the #1 plate in 15ex. It’s a personal thing…..
AirportFFMemberWe don’t race the NJ series…. ๐ฅ The only two tracks I can get to in a reasonable amount of time is P-town and Flemington
AirportFFMemberFarside x2 ๐
AirportFFMemberSo how do I get on this kick @ss team? Can I still use my clips??

All i asked was how many factory guys we had in nj. I had no idea it would turn into this. My original point was to make people realize for only having 3 tracks we have alot of talent. sorry 4 tracks p-town in the house.
It’s all your fault Ant ๐

depend on the sanctions for that.
I don’t know about the ABA. But it seems that the NBL lays too much responsibility at the feet of their paying members to promote THEIR product. They promote nothing at a local level. How the hell can you build something from the top down??? Unless it’s a missle silo.
But I digress……

haha street riders have it good.. racing has crap.. dude the etnies tour bus..its unreal.. fox riders get paaaaid..racings is not popular..
its sad isnt it
Yea Dave it kinda is sad. I remember when freestyle was the halftime attraction at a race. The reason it’s so popular now is that you can do it in your driveway if you want. It’s easier to get into it just because of that fact.
AirportFFMemberI think what Bill was getting at was the fact that in the early 80’s factory teams were HUGE. Look at how many guys were on some of the teams like Redline, GT, Powerlite, Diamond Back, etc.
BMX was THE sport back then. Giving HUGE profits to these companies. They, in turn, had huge teams to further promote their products.
Nowadays, BMX is struggling to stay afloat. The companies don’t have the cash flow to support what we view as a “factory” team.
Look at Kuwahara. They came out with their new stuff, what, about a year ago? They brought in a lot of big names to promote it. And I’ll bet that as soon as what little hype they have dies down. There will be a major cut on their team. (Warwick is gone) Upshaw may be next if his behavior doesn’t improve.
They simply can’t afford the “full” factory type rides for the amount of people that they have. It would bankrupt some of these companies. So they get 1 or 2 big names to the full deal and throw a bunch of factory jerseys on some kids that they pay a portion for.
Look at Jenna Sagendorg from NY. I think she races 9 or 10 girls. She is on Factory Track Stars. They gave 2 uniforms, a helmet, either a complete bike or F/F and are paying for 10 nationals. Not travel or lodging. But since it’s her first sponsor and her sister, Desiree, brings her around it’s a great deal FOR HER.
Is it the full factory ride of BMX’s heyday? Absolutely not. But it’s better than paying for all that crap out of your own pocket and it may open other doors for her.
AirportFFMemberHurry dammit!! ๐
