What is lacking from today’s racing machines?
Is there anything you’d like to see or mods made to existing stuff?
How about styles?
I like opinions and actions.
So..I’m looking for opinions. —October 2, 2007 at 6:10 pm #50804TenaciousDMemberDisc brakes for BMX bikes.

October 3, 2007 at 1:02 am #50824TenaciousDMemberI am being serious…Disc brakes. No, they dont suck. I have em on my mountainbike and will never go to anything else.
I already have ideas of how to implement on a wheel that isint set in one place.
October 3, 2007 at 1:06 am #508254130forlifeMemberdan they did disc brakes already.. they arent good for bmx.. we never race in rain, tracks arent made of dirt anymore…there is a chick from ct that races them on her cruiser.. and they are bulky and wacky looking
October 3, 2007 at 1:15 am #50827TenaciousDMemberCome to think of it.
One thing id like to see is have all of these companies that make all of these various parts use allen bolts, and nuts that can be purchased at Home Cheapo or a local hardware store.
I have a pair of Easton Cully flats that are virtually useless because the one nut that holds the pedal to the shaft is stripped and it is an oddball size…can’t find it ANYWHERE. Now i have to get it from Easton or by the grace of god, maybe…just maybe a bike shop will have one.

October 3, 2007 at 1:26 am #50832s4lnjMembercheap american made frames..
even cheaper overseas frames–
american frames cost btwn 350-400 because they cost like 150-250 depending on order, nad to be honest– less the desireable service.
tiwanese frames cost like $65, coated, stickered and boxed. and better service. and they still sell them for the same price— robery!!!!
October 3, 2007 at 1:34 am #508374130forlifeMemberyep, bmx is for rich folk.. not the ones who lived and died by it when we were kids.. it was exspensive when i was 17.. but now.. its rediculous

October 3, 2007 at 2:00 am #50839TenaciousDMemberHow about tubeless tires ?
They got em for mountainbikes, why not BMX ?
October 3, 2007 at 2:09 am #508404130forlifeMemberwell they use those also in road bikes.. and bmx rtacing is almost like road racing.. actually they are coming out with more and more foldable tires.. so any time now i guess
October 3, 2007 at 2:38 am #50842sweimarMemberthey already got folding tires for bmx…….i dont think bmx is gonna advance any more maybe a change in metals.
October 3, 2007 at 12:34 pm #50849TenaciousDMemberI hope this comment im about to make does not take this thread into another direction…
How about every track in the country have the same physical gate ?
Let the NBL tighten up their rules a little.
One track has plates (where your wheel rests) that is like 2 feet tall !
The other a foot high, to me it just does not make sense. But, then again, im anal like that….
