Here’s a bonus question. What riders on this list had a national or world title to their credit?
December 18, 2007 at 2:44 am #53940njracerMemberAdd to the list:
Kenny Martin- TNT
Jimmy Gnecco- TNT
in fact almost the entire TNT team was from Jersey what with Mark Z. being a native. As far as national and world titles go I know Farside has both to his credit and Sal Zuener has a national title. Kathy S. has one if not both as well. I too would love to see some pics. Caveman, Brett? Get those scanners goin’.December 18, 2007 at 3:06 pm #53953Brad_DalbecMemberHey Mark,

O.K., I am counting National #1 plate holders(NBL,NBA,ABA) and World Championships including World Cup’s as we had no world events after 82 except the Murry World Cup.
The results are-
Rich Farside(NBL #1 14 & 15X-81 & 82) and World Champ(82)
Kathy Shakel(NBL #1-81-86) World Champ (79 – 81)
Jarrett Justice (NBL #1 18-24 cruiser -86) World Cup Champ(cruiser-83 & 85).
Mike Lynch (World Cup Champ 82-12X).
Mark Lopez (World Cup Champ 84-16X)
Stefanie Defeo (NBL #1-82)
Sal Zeuner-(NBL # 1 -79)
Tammy Wiliver (World Cup Champ-84-14-15 girls).

More like one of the og’s of new jersey. He busts my balls but i got a ton of respect for him.
December 19, 2007 at 3:35 pm #54003loudogg666Memberyou know who is an og?
fucking brett.December 19, 2007 at 3:44 pm #54006bmiddaughMemberlol, I’ve just been around a long time.
All the names on Mark’s list were good guys and gals BITD and repped BMX like crazy, it’s no surprise that it got so huge with those guys out there.
Rich was one of the few guys from NJ to put the smackdown on the “big names” BITD, like Ellis, Loncarevich, Marietta, Charlie Williams, etc.
Being middle aged now and looking back it sorta becomes clear that even though we were all at different skill levels at that time, we were all on the same page as far as pushing BMX.
I wish I could get all those names on that list back together and have them running some tracks and events, yep, I’ll be honest, I sure wish I could.December 19, 2007 at 8:42 pm #54042CWCCRIDERMemberDecember 19, 2007 at 11:23 pm #540464130forlifeMemberrich rules!
