BTW,
The aba system of points giving only makes sense,
you earn a #1 district plate
you can run it at ANY national or event in the country. You earn an nbl #1 state plate,
stick to the locals kid.Actually the NBL #1 state highpoint plate can be run at any national or event in the country. I ran one in 05.
February 8, 2007 at 5:14 pm #39466bmiddaughMembercorrect,
but only 1 person can run it.
In the world of points systems, the aba way just makes more sense.state (really there just to appease nbl guys who switch, this one can only be run in your homestate)
district (for those of you wondering, you DO NOT need to run any special “district championship” to get an aba district plate. i.e.: it is NOT akin to an nbl regional plate)
national
Lead, I’d love for ya to elaborate on the aba national pointing system, it creates REAL national champions.
February 8, 2007 at 8:02 pm #39475guinnessextremeMemberI think we need to wait till after the CC before we make any judgement calls. Lets see what they bring back and push forward from there.
LorenFebruary 8, 2007 at 8:10 pm #39476bmiddaughMemberya gotta admit though that it is getting tiring for someone else to tell us how it should be done, when it seems we know pretty much what is right to begin with.
I’m all about new software, this will be an interesting time for the nbl.

That seems to be problem. Everyone wants to sit and wait. Maybe it is time for a new leader in New Jersey. Someone who will push for new thing and not be afraid of changes.
February 8, 2007 at 10:16 pm #39478guinnessextremeMemberJust wait till after the CC and the meeting. I know there are people going to the CC specifically for this reason.
The way I understand it, Florida and a few others were tests, so that they can roll out the new software and points system without as many glitches. I think this may be one thing that actually happens 😯
February 8, 2007 at 10:16 pm #39479bmiddaughMemberThere is always the option of doing your own thing.
ALWAYS.
February 9, 2007 at 12:21 am #39481bmxmom156Memberwho is going to competition congress this yr??
February 9, 2007 at 12:29 am #39483bmiddaughMemberCC is G.I.G.O.
(google that term.)
February 9, 2007 at 12:45 am #39484bmiddaughMemberWhere do you think more good ideas will be hashed out?
Websites like this or CC?
Some of us know the future, others can pretend it’s not coming, but rest assured it is.
How about this…
we crack open this nut.Let’s make the nbl a real democracy.
You hold an nbl license?
You are now a registered BMX voter in your home state.
Your state reps go to CC to vote as YOU deem fit because they are elected by you, the majority of BMXers in your state. That is a truer version of a democracy.
In fact in this day and age there is no need for a CC.
You could hold voting online using state reps.
You could hold training classes online. In case you all haven’t figured it out by now.
I and more than a few of the people who come here, are rebels.
Free thinkers.
Creative individuals.
And we will not be constrained any longer.BMX was created by freethinkers and rebels.
BMX pulls people in who want to be different, to do “their own thing”
Pick up a copy of Joe Kid.It is time for those of us who truly believe in this to do what the people who started this all did.
Do our own thing.

February 9, 2007 at 10:47 am #39502guinnessextremeMemberBig picture you are right, however concerning the points system, relax… there will be plenty of time to have a cow later! 😈
February 9, 2007 at 11:35 am #39503RaidenHaydenMemberBetter to have cow now, then spoiled milk during racing season.
Billfucsoius 2007
Meaning, lets get it straightened out now, then screw the racing season up by running around last minuteFebruary 9, 2007 at 11:54 am #39504bmiddaughMemberThe problem is not the points…
it’s the classes…
Take a deep look at the nbl rules.February 9, 2007 at 1:29 pm #39517BMXspectatorMemberguinnessextreme I don’t think you understand the different class structure between the two systems. If you would start the New Jersey season off on the old system how would you be able to change?
