I believe Mr. Sullivan has just called out the 16 & Over class.
November 3, 2006 at 3:00 pm #36040bmxmom156Memberthe no slingshot rule is i guess pre 2005…i guess that qualifies as “old school”…haha would old nbl rules apply?
if timmy wants old school(flats only) it has to be 100% i guess??
November 3, 2006 at 4:29 pm #36047bmiddaughMemberIf flats are “old school”, why do 95% of BMX riders ride with flats?
I consider BMX riders to comprise all disciplines, flat, vert, street, park, racing.
The only class of riders who wear clips are racers…when they are racing.
Most practice in flats.
Bill Hayden made the point below, it’s the only logical one.
Kid riders his bike- flats,
Goes to the trails- flats,
Ramp-park- flats,
go racing…sorry dude if you want to get it on here, you’re really gonna need these little doodads, clips…
Man, road bikers wear those, I freaking can’t stand road bikers, (not me…I am looking at this through the eyes of a rebellious 12-15 teen).
Forget that racing stuff, I have just as much fun riding trails.1998- Clips come in.

If a few people want to make the 16 & over flats only it would be cool if EVERYBODY rode flats. But the 16 & over was not advertised as flats only and I think its a bit late to make changes now. The race is tomorrow.
However I will do it on flats. That way I can race 16 & over and 25 & over. (I ain’t switching shoes for each moto)
On the other hand, we could try to get everyone to run flats and just instruct the crowd to boo anyone that races with clips.
Oh yeah, and I’m gonna smoke Sullivan. And Danny. And anybody else. On flats. With no sleep. All while throwing some slayers over the last doubles!
