January 18, 2007 at 2:39 am #38857RaidenHaydenMemberThey are trying to do it to Radio, and TV, it’s called the “fairness doctrine”, the goverment now claims that IT OWNS the airwaves, and that oposing sides should have equal time, well if you lsten to a talk radio staion, how will the programmer, who knows his listening audience, make money when know one listens to the guy they don’t wanna hear, forget about the free speech thing in the first amendment, they don’t care about that

January 18, 2007 at 5:53 pm #38860bmiddaughMemberdemocracy is never taken away.
it is always given away.people should not be afraid of their government.
the government should be afraid of their people. What bothers me most is that they cloak these freedom stripping bills in names like
“fairness doctrine”.The internet is the one thing they never saw coming and it scares the hell out of them all.
January 18, 2007 at 8:20 pm #38861XMotoXchickMemberThis is why its important to write your congressman. I do it all the time . You will also get a response when you do , via emails. I also received a phone call from his office one night. So don’t think you cant be heard.
This is our NJ congressman.

WHATS THE PROBLEM WITH THAT BRITTLE?January 19, 2007 at 1:02 pm #38880bmiddaughMemberHey..you wanna fide about dit? 😆
Just so you all know, the part of the bill that included this damnable legislation was defeated yesterday. 55 to 43.
Which sorta says to me that almost 50% of our politicians are not with the common person. And you should also know this,
the senators from NJ voted FOR it.January 19, 2007 at 1:16 pm #38881bmiddaughMemberHere’s a little link to check out how “our boys” are doing.
January 19, 2007 at 1:25 pm #38882bmiddaughMemberHAHAHAHAHA
I just realized our whole system is jacked!
WORTHLESS.
We elect “representatives” to speak for “us” in washington.
Then when they get there specialist interests take over and they speak for whomever holds the $$.Lobbying should be completely outlawed.
It creates corruption by it’s very nature. Also in 2007 there is NO NEED for congress to sit in DC all year long.
The internet has made it possible for representatives to stay in their home state, where they belong, and telecommute from there.
But then that would just mess up all the graft and corruption that occurs there.HAHAHAHA, yay yay, we are on our way.
Don’t worry folks you all just keep track of Brad and Angolina’s kids and who won American Idol, the people in charge will do what’s right….HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
