Negativity yes. I will say that almost everyone thought it was a great idea but you had a couple of people who went out of there way to try and stop us.

WoW a whole 45 minutes to give out awards. Is this what the riders worked all year for?
As far as not having enough time to plan a banquet for this year, well this was brought up at the January and February state meetings. So I don’t want to hear there was not enough time to plan such an event. I have tried to talk to some of the board members about this but I seem to get no where. I have offered to do all the leg work to make this happen but it seems to me they never want my help. As far as the need to raise money; there is enough in the state account to pay for this.
This was one of the reasons I was attending these meetings. I wanted to improve thing for the riders. There are people claiming to be for the riders but the sad truth is they are only in it for themselves. I am tired of banging my head against the wall with the negative comments I am getting from certain board members. Every time I try to do something for the NJ riders they give me the same old song and dance.
I don’t have a problem with Scott having it at the Incline club. I applaud them for stepping up. So before you try to turn this around I want everyone to know my problem is with the state board. It is time for a change.
RFarsideMemberThe #1 thing that needs to be changed it the points at the championship race. If you go back and look there was over 50% of the riders sitting #1 that all they had to do was roll the gate to get there #1. If you were to make this a triple point race, that would change.
With only 129 riders qualified for the championship, I feel some things need to be changed.

RFarsideMemberI am not bashing you on this. You did a great job with the announcing of the pro am for us. What I would like to see is someone who could do every moto at the state races. What do you think a guy like Charlie Litsky could do for a NJ state race?

I feel there are some major changes that need to be made. Let’s start with some of the people on this site. You like to bitch and cry on how thing need to change but when you go to a state meetings you can’t talk. If you want changes you need to speak up. Now as for next year’s state race we need to change.
1 The number of locals needed to qualify for the state championship race. It should be no more then 6.
2 The championship needs to be a triple point race. Nothing less.
3 You have to open the championship race up to anyone who wants to race it. Not just the 129 people who are qualified. They do it at the NBL grands.
4 We need an announcer big time. A good announcer can make or break a race. And it would be nice if he or she would use the new PA system.I could go on and on.
RFarsideMemberI agree with Brett that things need to change, but experts only on a state team sheet will never work. Just look at the state championship race this past weekend. 129 riders qualified and 30 something motos. I think its time for some changes.
And I would classify my self as an old school racer but I know that its 2007 not 1980.

RFarsideMemberI want to thank Glen for making the random gate possible for the Hyper pro/am race this past weekend. I don’t know how many people know that we are one of the first if not the first to use this new system. We were looking at new ideas for the pro/am and I feel this one went over well. Again thanks Glen and Trilogy Park for making this possible.

Felt 3rd.RFarsideMemberOK let’s get back to the Hyper Pro/Am series. With are first race of the series over we were able to raise $184.00 in raffles to add to the $160.00 purse for the day. From talking to some of the riders after the race I think this series will grow fast. Round 2-3 will be at Trilogy Park May 19th – 20th. Hope to see everyone there.
