National and regionals use the new point system and state and locals stay with the old point system.
RFarsideMemberFinally 🙂 😀 😆 😀 😆 🙂
RFarsideMemberFor the challenge class you have to be an expert, cruiser, or girl’s class.
RFarsideMemberYou race the age you are the day of the race for national and regionals. For the worlds you would race what your age is as of 12/30/07.
RFarsideMemberSo if I read this correct you could have some riders qualifying in classes that they won’t be racing in at the worlds. How is that going to work?
RFarsideMember2007 NATIONAL SERIES INFORMATION
This is from the NBL’s web site. The NBL is proud to announce a number of new amateur classes and some exciting modifications to the existing Elite Series racing program. We have added some new female classes including a 17 & Over and several more women’s cruiser categories. While the NBL still uses age-of-the-day to build their amateur classes, any riders who are racing Elite (19+) and Junior (17-18 ) will use their age as of December 31, 2007.
Elite and Junior classes will earn plates and awards from the Elite Series races only. At Big-A races, an Elite Open and a 16 & Over Girls open will be offered but those points will not be counted towards the official Elite and Junior Titles. Any amateur who is interesting in racing the UCI Worlds in Canada, must be riding in a Challenge level class; Expert male, Girls, and Cruiser. USAC will be announcing qualification criteria shortly. Click here to see the full list of classes and more.
RFarsideMemberOk I thought I would bring this back up to see how many of you have stuck with your program? Did you meet your goals you set for yourself? I know I came close but that isn’t good enough for me. That is why I made up my mind that I will race the National scene one more year. I will chalk this year up to my first full year back and now I know what has to be done.
For me I have had some great results from what Greg had me doing. I stayed with my program up until the Connecticut National. I rode all year with out a crash until Connecticut. That was a big set back for me and I didn’t know what to do. I talked to Greg and we changed a couple of things that made it possible for me to race at the Grand’s. If it wasn’t for Greg I would have never been able to do as good as I had. I will say this that after the Grand’s it took me 2 weeks till I could walk around with out too much pain.
This past week I called him again and we set up a new program for the 07 season. I am starting my training early this year because I want to hit the ABA Grand’s. So I am back in the gym and on my bikes.
I think it would be good to get Greg to come back at the beginning of our season to do another clinic. There are a couple of ideas he ran by me that we could do. What I would like to see is how many of you want to step it up for the 07 season?
RFarsideMemberWhat comes first BMX or your girlfriends birthday? Man what are you thinking? 😕
RFarsideMemberYou think so Dave?
RFarsideMemberThis picture is from yesterday’s time trials.
RFarsideMemberThey are offering a $250.00 reward if you turn in anyone you know who was sandbagging at the Grands.
I just got a check for $250.00 for turning a guy in the 35 novice class in.
Legend do you know how many PBR you could buy with that?
RFarsideMemberI can 2nd that.
RFarsideMemberBut now that they don’t let team managers use rookies on team sheets maybe that will give then a reason to want to move up. I think it is a step forward.
RFarsideMemberI will give the NBL an A+ for that new rule.
