Why not just ban clips all together?
In Nascar wouldnt you get an advantage if you ran Nitrous down the finish line? Or if you could run a jet engine? But Nascar decided thats not Stock Car racing and banned them..

Only BMXL has banned clips and well crap BMXL isnt going yet lol.

Just trying to push you since your my favorite New Jersey Pro. I understand your trying to be like Doug Luden and own on the race track and in the announcers tower. First the late great Charlie Litsky did both. Then Doug Luden and Frank Klimecki. Now Dave Kapigian. What is it with top NJ BMXers thinking they are all MC BMX?

What years do you race exactly, what tracks did you race?

in reply to: Have you ever cramped up so bad? #45068

Yeah Ive had thosee cramps. I’m told it comes from not stretching enough and drinking enough water. It feels like if you try to move your leg it will break. You just sit there or lay there in pain waiting and hoping it doesn’t snap.

The furthest Ive ever rode my BMX bike in one day is 135 miles.
    Road bikes, hrmffff.
The furthest trip on my BMX bike 2,000 miles.
    Road bikes, what for?

Still If you havent seen Daves pics of Spain that trip looks awesome.

in reply to: What was your first real bike ?? #45002

A white MCS Z-1 frame Sal Zeuner was supposed to ride but he sold it to me when he went to Thruster. My mom drove me down to Pedalers East. I bought matching white Powerlight forks, blue rims and parts and was so into that bike, I had my mom take pics of me posing in my uniform on it in the backyard. Doing racer poses lol. Pedalers East had sold me one of their jerseys without the team stuff on it.
man I wish I had those photos.
man I wish I had that bike.
I wish my mom was still alive.
I cant think about that bike without thinking of her. Thats what that bike means to me.

LOL OMG. I said I got to beat Craigs score. I couldnt break 1,000 after like 7 runs. So I was about to give up when I broke a 1,000. Then having a bad run I tried a new trick. I pulled it and finished a run of 7,050 lol. Most of that from one trick 🙂 Of course I can do the trick in real life so that makes it easier.

Wow that was fun, pulled off a couple combo tricks and one triple move somehow. Cool when i figured out how to get nice air and reverse the run of the last quaterpipe. My score on the second run was 1690. I just did two runs.

    in reply to: $550.00 starter ?? #44732

    Its a Concord. Go rebuilt.
Next car, buy Toyota or Honda. Hyundai is a third option.
    My recommendation:

OMG does your daughter know the history behind that CW pad set? How Pete Loncarevich, Billy Griggs, Andy Zirzow, Mike Miranda paved the way for her right to run a CW padset!

To dads who have kids that dont race BMX. My advice- Ebay. Get what you can for them.

All joking aside not being a dad, I can remember me as a kid. My dad didnt push me he started me small, a tricycle, then a bigger bike with training wheels. Hardly used it, but I did. Then when I got my first 20 I was porbably around 7 and he encouraged me hed run down the driveway with me after he took off the training wheels. Still I was more into skateboarding and fishing than bikes, since BMX didnt exist to me yet. Eventually he regretted he ever bought me a bike lol.

in reply to: Shimano factory rider Bryan Esser banned from Vintage #44728

I still visit Vintage but will support Bryan and probably hardly ever post there now. I’m using BMX Museum alot more. The guy that runs it seems very cool, hardcore from BITD like most of us that bother to visit BMX forums. Very few BMXrs I dont like. Hell I like Caveman so you know my standards are pretty easy, not that Dave’s easy. Thats a whole nother story. Like the time he, with this hooker, $5 and a slice of cold pizza…

in reply to: Keystone National….. #44727

Wow Trilogy, your making the Keystone state look mighty good. Good luck with the race. Did this site and Bretts rumblings help push you in this direction?
