dave the open classes are always there just that they are so small now with no competition i think thats what victors bro is complaining about( and others)

so technically they are not changing anything just combining a few open classes together, right?

not changing rules just bending them to suit the changing times. low moto count etc just like they did with classes last yr( and then changed it back…lol)

the open is the only place where the riders can see where they stack up and get some chasing time(if they are out in front all the time) remember the guy in front dosnt get faster its the ones chasing him right?

when is this meeting anyway? any date set?

    8 and under
    9-12
    13-15

does that sound good? or what did you have in mind?

prizes are the simple part.. im sure we all have “stuff” we can get ahold of…

can they get a discussion started maybe online some night when everyone interested can offer suggestions and such maybe in the chat section here? would be nice to get the ideas all at once and talk about it before the meeting if whoever has some ideas…

    brett is that feasable?

ct still does the trophy dash but they do it by track ea track has a trophy dash “champion/s” they enter in this open and the tracks all go for bragging rights. i think there are like 2 from ea track so 8 total in a one lap no crap race end of season. then they put the kids name on the trophy and pass it around. i dont know how they break their ages up but i can find out from roger… just another thought

def keep it 12-15…isnt there another thread started about this?? ( sounds familiar)

901 i agree its a great idea just get your thoughts/ eggs in a basket before you go and make the proposal like ant said. agree making it experts only may encourage novs to move up to x also if theyhave something really cool/fun to look fwd to( not having to wait till 16 that is)

been there- done that they wont budge…

he will ahve to wait till he is 16 as far as that goes… locally its a different story i guess but for the state series i think it has to be by the books…

he has his whole life ahead of him to race open/// some of those guys are a little bigger than h im and i think the concern is more for his safety so i can understand that…but if he wants to do it locally go where they do the local opens weekly like howell and pottstown i guess…

i wonder why no parents or riders confronted him when it was happening..this is wht pisses me off… at the time it was happening just go up and say something already!!! its not like it was nightime or anything…. right?

sounds like you know who it is so just confront them right? i dont have a prob with that at all..

bottom line is dont leave your bikes unattended…. i guess you have to keep an eye out all the time or leave it in the pits where there are parents or other team riders around. it is hard keeping track of 2 bikes i can imagine if both of you are riding..

i dont remember this being read at the last meeting..it says it would be read for the 2nd time…when did they read it for the first time?

what is the reason for wanting this change? who proposed it? (if you dont mind me asking…)

what is the purpose of the bylaw change?

seems like exclusivity to me is not the way to encourage volunteerism…esp on the local level…

ok, that sounds good..but if we can put links to all kinds of crap on there (that have absolutely nothing to do with bmx…in the past that is) why not support an ongoing SERIES run in NJ in conjuction with the STATE SERIES… seems fine to me will be sure to bring it up next meeting…

after all the hyper pro am is supporting njbmx state series if it wasnt for them there would be hardly any older riders doing the state series (jmo)

its in your blood dave thats all i meant…

hype it up before each race what a great idea i also like someone else said to link the pro/am site to other sites…is there a link directly off of the “new ” njbmxracing site? that would be cool. i didnt notice if there was one there last yr.
